Experience Living History ~ February 10, 2014
Abraham Lincoln has
made a huge impact in the
history of the United
States of America. Since
February is Lincoln’s birth
month, The Episcopal
Church Home will celebrate by inviting Larry and
Mary Elliott as Abraham
and Mary
Lincoln
(Pictured right).
Lincoln and Larry have a
lot in common. Not only
by their similar look, but
Larry’s great, great, great
grandmother (Mary LaRue
Enlow) was the midwife
who
helped
deliver
Abraham Lincoln.
Larry’s wife, Mary will portray Mary Todd Lincoln.
Together, Larry & Mary,
will tell the story of
Lincoln’s humble roots in
Kentucky. From growing up
in Indiana, to becoming a
self taught lawyer in
Illinois, to becoming our
16th President who preserved the Union and freed
the slaves, and to his untimely death at Fords Theatre. Don’t miss the show on
Monday, February 10,
2014 at 3:30 PM in Gheens
Towne Hall.

Happy Birthday
True Love
Mr. and Mrs. Bridgman eat in the dining room
most every evening and they sit holding
hands, still full of love that has lasted for
years.
Another resident snapped this photo and sent
it to us because he thought it would be a perfect addition to the February newsletter
because it signifies pure love.
All In The Family

Missy Knight is a long time nurse on the
Clingman Neighborhood and her granddaughter Mary Paige is a new volunteer

Security Changes For Entrances
The Episcopal Church
Home’s need to maintain
a safe environment for
our residents, staff and
guests has always been
critical to our mission.
Beginning February 10,
2014 all exterior entrances to the facility
will be locked continuously. The only exception to this will be our
front lobby entrance
where the receptionist
greets our visitors. This
entrance will be unlocked from the hours of
6:30 AM through 10:30
PM each day of the
week.
We recognize this new
policy will be changing a
variety of traffic patterns,
whether they are foot
traffic into and out of the
facility, within the facility or vehicular parking.
All guests will be parking in the parking spaces
that are located between
our building and Westport Road. The parking
areas around the perimeter of the building and
the gravel lot will serve
our staff and contractors.
To those guests that have
been accessing our facili-
Church Home as a
positive one. As such,
we will work diligently
to accommodate your
needs.
Should you have concerns or comments with
this change of access
please contact us at 7367800: Cecy Grisham
King, Associate Administrator, or Chris Bartholomew, Facilities and IT
Director.
We are grateful for
allowing us to care for
your loved one. Thank
you for choosing the
Episcopal Church Home
as your provider.
ty through doors other
than our main entrance
we ask your patience as
we transition through
this change. Our staff is
committed to your experience in the Episcopal
Episcopal Church Home Employee Christmas Fund
Thanks to the many family
members, board members,
leadership staff and residents
for donating money to the
Employee Christmas Fund.
Over $25,000 was raised and
evenly disturbed to our front
line staff including full time,
part time and PRN (as needed) employees.
We had a delicious southern
cooked meal and four family
members and one resident
handed out checks to some
very grateful employees.
