LAS OLAS WINE & FOOD FESTIVAL . . .
T
he 14th annual Las Olas Wine & Food Festival presented
by Premier Beverage Company, Bonterra Vineyards and
Bombay Sapphire, was held May 1st and 2nd in Fort
Lauderdale. The festival kicked off May 1st with winemaker
dinners hosted by prestigious wineries and wine representatives: Iron Horse Vineyard’s Joy Sterling, Dan Cohn
from BR Cohn Winery, Philip di Belardino of Banfi Vintners
and Robert Blue, founding winemaker of Bonterra Vineyards.
The next day began with the Allied Kitchen and Bath Culinary
Pavilion where demonstrations from top area chefs such as
Alex Gulal from the Grill Room and Chef Paula DaSilva from
3030 Ocean and Hell’s Kitchen finalist were held.

Later in the afternoon VIP guests relaxed and sipped wines
under the Bonterra Vineyards VIP reception tent. And as the
sun set on Las Olas Blvd., the street heated up as over 60
restaurants created culinary samplings paired with more than 200 wine labels poured from Premier’s “premier” wine
portfolio. Guests were able to top their evening off in the Bombay Sapphire Mixology Lounge and try their hand at
mixing and shaking their version of Sapphire Raspberry Collins.

outhern Wine & Spirits celebrated the national event “Bring Your Child to
Work Day” where the children learned about the careers of their parents.
Four laptops and prize money was awarded for correct answers to quizzes given
at the end of the event. More than 100 sons and daughters attended.

auza Tequila hosted a dinner and tequila tasting for more than 75 guests at Cantina
Laredo in Palm Beach Gardens. Also in attendance were Michael Ryan, general

MERITORIOUS SERVICE AWARD FOR AL PAKOWITZ . . .

gift for 40 years of meritorious service to Al Pakowitz,
telemarketing representative. Al joined RNDC back in 1969.
His hard work and dedication to his job make him a valued coworker and employee. He continues to work with the company
