Sheyann Webb, Memories of Selma
Sheyann Webb was an eight-year-old student in
Selma, Alabama and she joined in with the civil rights
marchers on Sunday, March 7, 1965. This day has become
known as “Bloody Sunday” because of the treatment by the
police and sheriff departments to stop the marchers.
This is taken from the Eyewitness to America, David Colbert, editor.
1998.
