Kanga Farm Equipment designs and
manufactures a wide range of rotary cutters
(slashers), grader blades, post hole diggers,
rippers, carryalls and cultivators that suit

Caroni Implements is the Australian
distributor of Sicma SpA (Italian
manufacturers of rotary hoes, flail mulchers
and finishing mowers) and Cosmo Srl
(global leader in fertiliser spreaders and
spreading technology).

strong Australian dollar, significantly
reduced in its latest prices list (September
2012).
As for Kanga, the biggest change has been
to the pasture toppers and multi-head
rotary cutters, which now include patented
gearbox driveline technology in the form of
a new spring shock absorbing coupling. The
new coupling provides the cutter bars a
limited amount of predetermined rotational
travel (via the springs) while the universal
joint allows for any flex in the deck.
As a result, wear and associated failures
— resulting from the flywheel effect of
secondary cutter bars and tractor PTO
torque — have all but been eliminated,
which will be welcome news to people
operating large implements in agricultural
situations.
