Exciting New Programs
coming in 2014
The Easton Complex is always striving to
improve its programs for you, our guest.
Take a look and be sure to hit the links to
sign up for one (or more!) of our new and
exciting classes for 2014.
New Naming structure for Youth
Classes:
All of our Youth classes will now fall under our
Community Olympic Development Program
(CODP). Beginning in February the classes
will be called:
CODP Beginner Level 1
CODP Beginner Level 2
CODP Intermediate Level 1
CODP Intermediate Advanced
Youth Category for MSOY
In 2014, the Best Western Plus Gateway
Grand will again sponsor our very popular
‘Matchplay Shooter of the Year’ series. This
year, we will be offering a new Youth and
beginner friendly division that will be shot at
30m.
New Curriculum for Youth Classes:
There will be trophies for the Series winners
at the end of the year, but Prize money will
only be awarded to the Open Division. For
more information, and to sign up, click here.
The 2008 TEAM USA Olympic Assistant
Coach, and the current Vice President of
Easton Foundations has designed a new
curriculum for our classes to help teach
archers how to shoot according to the NTS
(National Training System) better than ever
before. To learn how to shoot a bow in the
best way possible and with a high level of
skill, be sure to sign up for the classes above.
New ‘FUN’ Archery Class:
The aim of this new class is simple – To have
fun while shooting arrows in a safe and
controlled environment. Our Coaches will
lead the archers in games and activities that
will help to build their archery skills as well as
increasing their level of enjoyment within the
sport. Click here to sign up!
New for 2014, the Easton Newberry Sports
Complex will be running a series of
educational camps for youth and adult
archers. These camps will be run with the
highest level of Instructors in the facility and
will focus on giving archers the most up-todate information, to assist them to be
successful in all levels of events.
Spring Break Camp - March 22-24
Event Prep Camp – June 16-20
Winter Break Camp – Dec 29-31
NTS Master Class:
We are really excited to announce that in
2014 we are planning on running specialized
seminars for many areas of Archery. The first
is set for Feb (see calendar on page 1) and
will be a day long Master Class on NTS with
JDT and USAA Level 4 Coach, Carl Greene.
