Welcome aboard
The top ranking movie this month is “Angels & Demons” starring Tom Hanks and
Ewan McGregor. It’s based on Dan Brown’s mystery thriller about Harvard symbologist
Robert Langdon, as he tries to stop what seems to be the Illuminati, a legendary secret
society, from destroying the Vatican City with the newly-discovered power of antimatter.
We also show Tony Scott’s remake of the 1974 thriller “The Taking of Pelham 123” starring Denzel Washington and John Turturro trying to negotiate with a group of hijackers,
lead by John Travolta, who have taken over a New York subway train.
Another favorite is “Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian”, a family comedy
starring Ben Stiller and Amy Adams. It tells the story of security guard Larry Daley’s
infiltrations of the Smithsonian Institute in order to rescue Jedediah and Octavius, who
have been shipped to the museum by mistake.

Crowe first made his mark on Hollywood
in Curtis Hanson’s crime drama “L.A. Confidential”, as vice cop Bud White. He later
starred in Jay Roach’s “Mystery, Alaska”
and in Taylor Hackford’s “Proof of Life”, opposite Meg Ryan.
Born in New Zealand in 1964 , Crowe was
raised in Australia, where he has also been
honored for his work on the screen. He was
recognized for three consecutive years by
the Australian Film Institute (AFI), beginning in 1990, when he was nominated for
Best Actor for “The Crossing”.

John Travolta has starred in some of the
most monumental films of our generation, including earning his first Oscar and
Golden Globe nominations for his role in
the blockbuster “Saturday Night Fever”

big-screen version of the long-running
musical “Grease” and the wildly successful “Urban Cowboy” which also influenced

This is Whitney Houston’s seventh studio album. She is
one of the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold
over 190 million albums and 50 million singles, worldwide.
Whitney Houston is ranked as the fourth best-selling female artist in
the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America,
with 54 million certified albums. Known as “The Voice” for her “powerful, penetrating pop-gospel” vocals, she has been listed by Rolling
Stone magazine as one of “The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time”.
Houston has been cited as an influence among numerous contemporary R&B and pop music artists.
Though Houston was seen as a good girl with a perfect image in the
’80s and early ’90s, during the late ’90s many noted a change in
her behavior. She was often hours late for interviews, photo shoots,
rehearsals, while canceling concerts and talk-show appearances. With
the missed performances and weight loss, people began to wonder
if something was wrong, and rumors of drug use with her husband,
Bobby Brown, began to appear. Despite a vicious storm of rumors,
Arista signed a contract with Houston for $100 million to deliver six
new albums, on which she would also earn royalties. After losing
many friends and associates due to her erratic behavior, her father’s
passing in 2003, Houston cleaned herself up and divorced Bobby
Brown in 2006. Things have been looking up ever since, and this
album could actually be the true resurrection of Whitney Houston.

Sudoku is the Japanese abbreviation of
“suji wa dokushin ni kagiru,” meaning “the
digits must remain single”. This logicbased number placement puzzle, known
as “Number Place” in the United States, is

the hand you’re dealt or try your luck by
getting hit with another card. Get as close
to twenty-one as you dare and try to beat
the dealer. Over twenty-one and you’re
busted!

On Demand
We have improved our entertainment
system even more by installing video and
audio on demand. This means you can
start the movie or audio channel of your
choice, take a pause to stretch your legs
and then pick up where you left off when
you return to your seat.
If you get stuck, just touch the Help
button on the Main Menu for on-screen
assistance.
Video on demand only works in
Business and Economy Extra.
Entertainment system
For your enjoyment on board this aircraft,
SAS has provided first-class entertainment.
Using touch-screen technology, choose your own entertainment directly
on your personal video screen. Alternatively, you can use your personal
handset to navigate around the screen and make your choices.
Before take-off, the forward-looking camera and the moving map are
available on all seatback-mounted video screens. Just reach out and
touch the screen to activate it.
Once airborne, armrest-mounted screens may be used. The downward-looking camera will now be activated and the moving map channel will continually be updated to let you know where you are, how far
it is to your destination, and to display other relevant flight information
as well as video information programs relating to your flight.
To tune in to the soundtrack for a video program being displayed on
the overhead monitors, select Flight Information and press Moving
Map on your personal video screen.
Once the aircraft has reached its first cruising level, the entertainment
system is switched on. You will now have a large choice of movies,
audio entertainment and games.

The entertainment system will be closed
down 30 minutes before landing.
Airbus A330/A340 Handset
The standard controls operate the reading light, attendant call and channel
selection. The arrows and “A” button are for making selections and browsing
through the Inflight Entertainment system. The colored buttons (A, B, X, Y)
along with L and R are mainly for playing games.

To replace the handset in the armrest, pull the cable gently to release the cable lock.
