Naramata Leads the South Okanagan*
This year has been the busiest in Naramata real estate since 2007.
Third quarter results are in, and 40 properties on the MLS system sold between January 1 and
September 30. In the same period of 2012, 19 properties had sold on the MLS system.
Compared with other communities in the South Okanagan, Naramata has had a very busy real
estate market. Figures below represent the first three quarters of 2013 compared to the same
period of 2012.
Naramata: up 110.5%
Summerland: down 8%
Penticton: up 7%
Oliver: down 26.5%
Kaleden/OK Falls: up 18.5%
The MLS figures for Naramata sales includes: waterfront, townhomes, commercial,
single family homes, building lots, acreages and vineyards.
Value of all Naramata sales on the MLS system totaled $22.8-million up to the third
quarter, compared with $10.3-million in the same period last year.
The average price per Naramata MLS sale for 2013 has been $570,252, versus
$542,926 (first three quarters of 2012).
