hat an exciting year it has been here
at Canadian Woodworker. If you
had asked me two years ago what my vision
was for the company in 2011, I would never
have dreamed up what has actually taken
place. With the opening of our latest and
biggest store in Surrey BC we now have five
great stores to serve you in four provinces.
This store will be a great addition to our
stores in Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and
Saskatoon. We are so pleased we are now
able to serve the woodworkers in Vancouver
and bring them the unique world of what
Canadian Woodworker offers to hobbyists,
schools and industrial shops.
To celebrate our latest expansion we are
having a huge grand opening two day sale
at all our stores on November 26th and
27th and a very special three day event at
our new Surrey location from November
26th-28th.
For those of you less familiar with our stores
we have been in the woodworking tool
supply business since my father started the
company in Winnipeg back in 1967. We
are a family owned and operated business
in its second generation. It is now owned
by me and my sister Erin Taylor. We began
as a saw sharpening and industrial tool sales
business and over the years have evolved
into a retail and industrial supply store for
hobbyist to commercial woodworkers.
Our stores are specifically designed for, and
dedicated to, woodworking enthusiasts.
We have a designated “book store” area
for selling our books and plans, and a great
selection of tools for woodworkers. We have
carving, wood burning and woodturning
tools, hand tools, saw blades, router bits,
clamps, and power tools and tons of
machinery for hobby to heavy industrial use.
In addition to our in store staff we also
have a dedicated industrial division who
cater to the industrial/educational side of
the woodworking business. We have a great
team of specialists who will come right to
your door to help you with your machinery,
abrasives and tooling needs.
