Catholic Life Sweepstakes
Don’t Forget:
Holiday Dinners are a great time to sell tickets! Be sure to take them with
you as you visit with your family and friends during the holidays!
Each family is asked to sell 10 tickets. But don’t stop there - any tickets sold after the first
10 will be applied to your child’s tuition! So the more tickets you sell, the more money is applied to your tuition cost.
Plus the more tickets you sell, the more chances for you or someone you love to win the
Grand Prize:
The Grand prize includes the choice of a:
2016 Ford F-150 Truck or 2016 Ford Fusion Sedan or $20,000 Prepaid Visa Credit Card.
There will also be a $1,000 Prepaid Visa Credit Card individual winner drawn from tickets
sold by the St. Anthony Catholic High School community.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 for St. Anthony Catholic High School.
We can do it, Yellow Jackets!!!
The drawing will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the Catholic Life Insurance
Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.
You may return your tickets and money to either the St. Anthony Catholic High School Office or to the St. Anthony Catholic High School Development Office. The deadline to submit
tickets is Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
We thank you for your continued support of St. Anthony Catholic High School!!!

Parents: Do you know your child’s social media passwords? Do you monitor their accounts? Do you set limits on their electronics “playtime”? With social media
sites so easily accessible and highly used, I encourage
you to read the following articles and get “in the
know” regarding your child’s social networking.
Last week I encouraged parents to read some articles regarding the dangers of
social networking. Below is an article on a new app teenagers have access to.
Be on the lookout!
“After School has in some cases become a vehicle for bullying, crude observations and alleged criminal activity, all under a cloak of secrecy.” The Washington Post recently had an article about a new app called After School that can
be used to post anonymously.

Homework is an easy way for students to keep up with their
studies and prepare for quizzes, tests, and final exams. If students have any questions regarding their homework and lessons, please encourage them to attend tutoring with their
teachers. When students complete and understand their
homework, they have a better chance of performing well on
tests which results in higher grades for the quarter and semester. Please speak with your child about turning in homework
and attending tutoring. Don’t let missing homework assignments be the reason your child is failing!
UNIFORM POLICY REMINDER: Parents, as we break for the holidays,
please take notice of your child’s uniforms. Often we don’t notice
how quickly our kids grow out of their clothes or how worn their
clothes become. Please be sure to take care of any uniform issues
before we return in January. Thank you for your cooperation!

Parents: with so many issues coming about
due to irresponsible social media postings,
please discuss with your children the idea
of THINKing before posting. Poor decisions
made on social media affect everyone. Help
your child understand that things never really get deleted from the internet and can
haunt them for years to come!
Being clean-shaven is part of the
dress code. For our growing
young men, they must be cleanshaven (upper-lip, beard, and
sideburns) everyday. Thank you
for your help in ensuring our students are on point!
Electronics used without permission will be
collected. Parent/guardian must come to
retrieve items & pay a $20 fine!
All St. A. students are required to be an active
member of at least two clubs/organizations. Athletics only fulfills one requirement no matter how
many sports they play. Next semester Ms. Lopez
will be holding all students accountable for this requirement. Please have your child join a club/group!
