JOSH SAGEL, Head Coach
BRUCE WHARTON, Coach
Coach Sagel graduated from Georgia Southern University
with degrees in Social Studies and Kinesiology. This is his 7th
year at Lambert where he is in the social studies department and
coaches lacrosse and wrestling. In addition to spending time
with his family, Coach Sagel enjoys working out and currently
holds several bench press records. He is excited to be part of the
Longhorn Lacrosse tradition and is looking forward to the
challenge of the season!
Coach Wharton is a graduate of the Citadel where he was a
four year starter in lacrosse at the midfield position. He grew
up in Maryland playing lacrosse for Queen Anne's County
High School. Coach Wharton coached for the South Forsyth
Youth Lacrosse program for three years. He also was a coach
for the Lambert Lacrosse Club team. He has coached for
Lambert for seven years. Coach Wharton lives in Forsyth
County with his wife and has two grown sons.
TIM GERAN, Coach
RICH WEHMAN, Director of Lacrosse
Coach Wehman received his Bachelor degree from the United
States Naval Academy in 1983 where he was a four year starter
in lacrosse at attack. While at Navy he was a three time AllAmerican and finished fifth in all-time scoring. He attended
Ward Melville High School on Long Island, where he set a
Suffolk County scoring record in 1978 while leading his team
to the New York State Championship. Named the MVP in the
New York State Championship tournament, he was also
honored as a High School All American that year. Coach
Wehman has been involved with and coaching lacrosse since
his graduation from the Naval Academy. He was the Graduate
Assistant Coach at the Naval Academy in the year after his
graduation. He coached middle school in East Cobb and in
South Forsyth, and most recently he has coached the Lambert
Lacrosse team since 2008. In the the sixth season that Lambert
has fielded a Varsity program, his teams have posted a 109-18
record; which includes four Area Championships, four straight
State Final appearances, five straight State Semi-Final
appearances, and back to back State Championships (2011 &
2012). Coach Wehman was recognized after the 2011 season
by being named the Georgia High School Lacrosse Man of the
Year and in 2013 by U.S. Lacrosse by receiving an award for
excellence in growing the game in the state of Georgia. Just last
year, he was inducted into the Long Island Metropolitan
Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Coach Wehman lives in Forsyth
County with his wife Sharon, and his three sons Bradley,
Brendan, and Brooks. All three of his sons play lacrosse.
Coach Geran received his Bachelor degree from the
University of Dayton in 1985 where he played football. He
grew up in Detroit, Michigan playing football and basketball
for Detroit Catholic Central High School. Coach Geran has
been involved in coaching youth sports (football, hockey,
basketball and lacrosse) for over 12 years. Coach Geran lives
in Forsyth County with his family. His oldest son Timmy
recently graduted from Mercer where he was a standout at
midfield and now is the Head Coach of one of the Lambert
Middle School feeder teams. His younger son Matt plays
attack at Furman University and his daughter Riley plays on
the Lambert Varsity Soccer team.
NELSON GOMEZ, Coach
Coach Gomez received his Bachelor degree from CW Post
University in 1985 and was goal keeper for CW Post
Pioneers for his junior and senior collegiate seasons. Prior to
this, Coach Gomez attended Adelphi University and played
in their lacrosse program his freshman and sophomore
collegiate seasons. He attended Maria Regina High School
on long Island, where he was a 4 year letterman for lacrosse
as their starting goal keeper. Coach Gomez has continued to
be involved with and coaching lacrosse in the Georgia area.
Coach Gomez has coached the Bagataway youth, South
Forsyth youth, and Longhorn Middle School Feeder teams.
He has also coached the Trident and Rage Lacrosse Club
teams. Coach Gomez lives in Forsyth County with his wife
Janet, and has three children Garret, Kelsey, and Grace. His
oldest, Garret is a Freshman goal keeper at Furman

JARED OSTROSKY, JV / Freshman Coach
Coach Ostrosky graduated from Truett-McConnell College with an Associate's Degree in Business and
earned a Bachelor's of Exercise Science and his Master's Degree in Education from North Georgia College.
He has recently earned his Specialist in Educational Leadership. This is his 6th year at Lambert where he
teaches in both the Science and Special Education departments. Coach Ostrosky enjoys working out and
playing golf in his spare time. He is married to his beautiful wife Amanda and enjoys spending time with
her and their two dogs Maddox and Duke. He also enjoys playing with his daughter who is about to turn
two years old in April. This is his fourth year with the Lacrosse team.
JOE LOSURDO, Coach
Coach Losurdo grew up in Syracuse, NY and played under legendary coach Mike Messere at West Genesee
High School. He then went on to play at SUNY Potsdam, where he became a two-year captain, a two-year
MVP and finished 4th All-Time Leading Scorer. Coach Losurdo came to Atlanta and started the lacrosse
program at Chattahoochee HS in 1999. He coached the first public high school lacrosse team to reach the
Georgia State Championship and was awarded the US Lacrosse Assistant Coach of Year in 2003. Coach
Losurdo served as the Director of Double Stixx Lacrosse from 2005-2008 and is also the head coach for
Atlanta Elite Travel Team. Joe is self employed as a Web Designer and also serves as a lacrosse private
instructor. Coach Losurdo and his wife Jennifer have three children , TJ (8yrs) & Eli (2yr) Brenden (7mths).
RICK LEWIS, Coach
Coach Lewis is a graduate of Rutgers University. He was a four year letterman on defense. He has coached
high school lacrosse in the Atlanta area for the last 11 years. In the summer he helps out the Atlanta Rage.
Rick is a Coach at Five Star Lacrosse Academy and Co-Director of the Atlanta Summer Lacrosse Classic.
He resides in the Atlanta area with his wife and has three children. His oldest, Ricky recently grduated from
Ohio State University where he was a Captain of the Lacrosse Team.
CHED STEELE, Coach
Coach Steele began playing lacrosse in South Eastern Pennsylvania just outside of Philadelphia. He was a
starting midfielder and face off specialist for 3 years of varsity lacrosse at nationally ranked Conestoga High
School serving as captain his senior year and an honored recipient of the "Coaches Award". He was chosen
to play for the South Eastern Pennsylvania All-Star Team made up of only 25 players in all of South Eastern
PA. He then went on to play at Division III - Westchester University in Westchester, PA and currently plays
for the club lacrosse team - the Atlanta Inferno. He has coached Youth and High School Lacrosse in South
Forsyth since 2007. Coach Steele and his wife Kim and three sons Logan, Dalton, and Calvin have lived in
South Forsyth since 2007. Coach Steele owns and runs CE Steele Construction, a company specializing in
building decks, outdoor structures and custom home renovations.
JAMIE DAVIDSON, Coach
Coach Davidson who has three young boys in our program, played lacrosse at Army. Prior to attending West
Point, he played for the legendary Coach Tom Hall, a five time National Coach of the Year, at perennial
powerhouse Fayetteville-Manlius High School located in Syracuse, New York. Jamie has coached in
Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Georgia at various levels including youth, middle school select, high school,
and summer select travel teams.
ERIC TOMPKINS, Coach
Coach Tompkins grew up on Long Island, NY and following High School stayed local and played for all time
great, Lacrosse Hall of Fame Coach Fred Acee. Coach Tompkins then went on to play for the University at
Albany Great Danes where he was a three time defensive player of the year, two year captain and voted team
MVP his senior year. Coach Tompkins came to Atlanta in 1993 and started playing club lacrosse. He then
attended Life University Chiropractic where he now owns and practices locally. Coach Eric has a passion
for the sport of Lacrosse and he has coached at many levels from the youth program, where he is the age group
coordinator for U9 and coaches his son Brayden (7), middle school select and high school. Coach Eric and
