The Arizona Cardinals Football Club participated in a ribbon cutting
ceremony at the Ronald McDonald House—Roanoke to celebrate the opening
of the new Cardinals apartment at this location.
Team president Michael Bidwill, Room Store marketing manager Dan
Selznick and Tammy Bohannon of the Ronald McDonald House joined K Jay
Feely, TE Jeff King, defensive quality control coach Ryan Slowik and wife Valerie,
Dreama Graves (wife of general manager Rod Graves), Alice Whisenhunt (wife
of head coach Ken Whisenhunt) and team mascot Big Red at the ceremony.
The Arizona Cardinals Women’s Club continues their monthly visits to the
Ronald McDonald House to serve dinner to the families staying on site.
With the help of the Room Store, the wives of Cardinals players and front
office staff completely furnished a two bedroom apartment at the Ronald
McDonald House with brand new furniture, televisions and draperies.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Phoenix provides a welcoming
“home-away-from-home” for children and their families who travel to Phoenix
to receive medical treatment for serious, often life-threatening illnesses and
injuries. They help lessen the burden by ensuring families have the stability they
need to support their children by providing an atmosphere of comfort, hope
and courage while also supporting programs that directly benefit children and
their families in the community.
