The 75th Anniversary
of the Pictou Lobster Carnival
is made possible by the outstanding
community support over the past 75 years and
the financial contributions from our many sponsors and
friends. We would also like to acknowledge the many levels
of government that have made the 75th Anniversary a
true community celebration.

ANNIVERSA
The SkyHawks
Saturday, beginning at noon
Oddfellows Field, Haliburton Road
The Skyhawks is Canada’s premier parachute demonstration team
comprised of 18 service personnel from a variety of trades and professions
within the Canadian Forces’. The standard Demonstration Team has
13 jumpers, a two-person ground crew, and a five-person aircrew. A team
show usually consists of three passes of parachutists exiting the aircraft
from 12,500 feet above sea level. Trailing smoke canisters during their
descent, the jumpers will activate their main parachutes between 5,000
and 3,000 feet above the ground and perform daring canopy formations
on their way to landing at the designated target.
