IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Any device connected to the SkyEurope OnDemand Router will
automatically have a UK IP address and services like BBC iPlayer,
ITV onDemand, Channel 5 Player, 4 On Demand and SkyGo will
work on your XBOX, Playstation, Tablet or Smartphone.
Turn to “Connection via WiFi” to learn how to connect.

Connecting your new SkyEurope OnDemand router
1. Connecting your new SkyEurope OnDemand router

Connect an Ethernet (network) cable
(included in the packaging) to the blue port
of your SkyEurope OnDemand Router (1)
and the other end to a free port of your
existing internet router. Please make sure
your internet modem is powered on and
has an internet connection.

Connect the power supply included in the
packaging to the power input (2) of your
SkyEurope OnDemand Router

Press on/off switch (3) to turn on the
SkyEurope OnDemand Router
Finished!
Your SkyEurope OnDemand Router is now connected.
Indicator Overview:
A: Power on
B: System indicator
C: WIFI enabled/activated
D: WAN connected/activated
E: LAN ports connected
F: N/A disabled
G: N/A disabled

Please decide how you want to connect your Sky HD box to the SkyEurope OnDemand router?
If via direct network cable read on (Option 1). If via Wifi, turn to the next section (Option 2).
2.1 Connection to Sky box using network cable (wired connection)
Please take a 2nd network cable and connect it to one of the four free LAN ports (yellow) on the
back of your SkyEurope OnDemand Router and connect the other end of the network cable to
the SkyHD box, like so:

2.2 Connection via WiFi - Set up your Wireless Connector MINI
Before you can connect the Wireless Connector MINI you need to switch off the Sky HD box.

Please press the standby button on your Sky remote and switch off your Sky box at the
mains. Check that the power light on the front of your Sky box is off before proceeding.
Find the Ethernet cable and power adaptor that came with the Wireless Connector - see image
below.

Please plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the green port on the back of the Wireless
Connector and plug the other end into the green port on the back of the Sky HD box.
Plug in the included power adaptor to the blue port on the back of the Wireless Connector
and plug the other end into an available mains power socket.
Use the adapter that came with the Wireless Connector so the power plug fits into your
European power outlet.

Press the power button on the back of the Wireless Connector.
The unit’s power and Ethernet lights should both come on.

Turn your Sky HD box on at the mains.
Please wait at least two minutes before switching the Sky HD box back on from standby mode

Press the sky button on Sky your remote
The Sky HD box will need to restart. Please be patient as there may be a delay of several
seconds before the Sky HD box will restart.
It can take up to four minutes before your Sky HD box has been restarted into standby mode.
The Sky HD box will not turn back on automatically and will remain in standby mode.

Press the sky button on Sky your remote to turn the Sky HD box back on (power light turns
green).
Before you can watch any Sky On Demand programmes, your Sky HD box needs to connected to
your router.
An on-screen message will prompt you to press select on your remote to continue.

Press select on your remote for network setup.

Connect with your wireless password
The on-screen message: “Searching for a local network...” will be displayed.
Please do not press any button on your Sky remote while “Searching for a local network...” is not
completed.

Choose your wireless network (SSID) from the list shown and press Select.
About your password: Make sure you select the wireless network of your SkyEurope OnDemand
Router! The network name starts with „SKYEUROPE“!

Password Information:
Please remember that passwords are casesensitive: you can cycle through uppercase
letters, numbers and lowercase letters through
repeated pressing of the number buttons on
your Sky remote. Special characters can be entered by repeated pressing of the 0 button.

As you enter your password, it will appear on the screen. If you enter an incorrect character, use
the left arrow to delete. Make sure your password is correct before pressing Select to continue.

You'll see an on-screen message advising that the Sky box is connecting to the network.
You’ll see an on-screen message confirming that your Sky+HD box in now connected to your router.

Press the red button to go on to on demand.

3. Connection of other devices to the router
You can also connect other devices to the SkyEurope OnDemand Router either using the free
network ports or via Wifi. Any device connected to the SkyEurope OnDemand Router will automatically have a UK IP address and services like BBC iPlayer, ITV onDemand, Channel 5 Player
and 4 On Demand and SkyGo will work on your XBOX, Playstation, Smartphone or Tablet .
How to connect other devices:
The Wifi Network is called „SKYEUROPE-XXXX“ (XXXX can be any combination of letters and
number – the SKYEUROPE is important).

Connect to the „SKYEUROPE-XXXX“ Network using the password printed on the bottom of
your SkyEurope OnDemand Router:

Confirm your box is connected and switched on to any Sky channel


Press the left/right arrow buttons to highlight a programme (with no play icon displayed).
Press the Select button, now you can chose out of two the downloading options:
“Downloading in HD” (High Definition) or “Downloading in SD” (Standard Definition).

Press the Select button - the wording will change to DOWNLOADING.
After the wording changes to AVAILABLE your programme is downloaded and ready to watch.
Important:
If you select many programmes for downloading, they will be downloaded one after another automatically. This means, you cannot live stream content anymore because the downloads use up all your available bandwidth. If you want to live stream, pause or cancel running downloads first for better performance.

5. Troubleshooting
If everything has been connected correctly and your Sky OnDemand is not working or not fully
working, please perform the troubleshooting procedures below.
There are four settings for you to try to find the one working for your set-up.
5.1 Connect to your SkyEurope OnDemand Router
Use a Computer or tablet to connect to the Wifi network of your SkyEurope OnDemand Router:
The Wifi network is called „SKYEUROPE-XXXX“ (XXXX can be any combination of letters and
number – the SKYEUROPE is important).
Connect to this Wifi Network using the password printed on the bottom of your SkyEurope
OnDemand Router:

5.2 Open a web browser on your computer or tablet and enter the following web address:
10.0.221.1
to enter the SkyEurope OnDemand Router start screen:

5.3 Change the VPN settings
On the top left corner, you see VPN Status. Please make sure this status is GREEN and as shown
in the image (SkyEurope OnDemand Router start screen). If one of the two is red, please press
RESTART VPN and if that does not help press RESTART ROUTER.
Both options (RESTART VPN / RESTART ROUTER) have on screen messages.
If the VPN status has changed from red to green, please now check your
Sky HD box to see if your Sky OnDemand service is working.
If the status is still red, the VPN settings need to re-configured - please continue below.
Please check the VPN SETTINGS on the
left. Under “Change VPN Server”, ensure a UK-Server is selected and highlighted. If a none UK VPN server is highlighted, please select a UK Server in the
dropdown menu.
Under VPN Protocol & Port you see
four options (radio buttons). Select a
different option and press Apply.
Press RESTART VPN
You can tell you are successfully connected when both STATUS BARS are
green (VPN and internet).
Please now check your Sky HD box to see if your Sky OnDemand service is working.
If the issue still persists, please repeat the procedure with another selection (UDP 443, UDP
1194, TCP 443 or TCP 1194).
Press RESTART VPN after each change to apply the new VPN SETTINGS.
