3. TERMS OF PAYMENT & COMMISSIONS
A. All local retail rates are non-commissionable.
B. All advertisements are sold on a cash-in-advance basis,
unless credit approval has been granted by the newspaper.
C. Credit may be granted to advertisers who submit a
complete customer information form.
D. The balance owed on advertising is due upon receipt.
A 1.5 percent monthly late charge will be added to a
delinquent balance remaining 30 days after statement date.
Billing periods are calendar months. Advertiser agrees to hold
newspaper harmless for all fees and expenses it may incur in
enforcing payment of any amount during this agreement
period.

PREPRINT LINAGE ALLOWANCE
Advertisers signing a preprint contract for 24 or more inserts
per year may apply dollars toward the fulfillment of bulk
annual contracts. Lineage credit is determined by dividing
dollars spent by contracted ROP space rate.

Preprints must be delivered 5 working days prior to day of insertion. Delivery hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, or by special arrangement. All preprints must be
shipped on pallets, skids or in boxes, bundled in standard quantities and uniform turns.
Allow 2 percent spoilage for inserts not printed in-house.
PRINT-and-DELIVER PROGRAM
We offer full web and single sheet printing services. Rates
include design, layout, typesetting, printing and distribution.
Please allow a two-week lead time for production.

C. ADVERTISING
1. All property rights, including any copyright interests in
advertisements produced by the newspaper shall be the sole
property of the newspaper. No such advertisement or any part
thereof may be reproduced without the prior written consent of the
newspaper.
2. Advertising will be published on the dates requested. If for some
reason advertising cannot be placed as requested, the publisher will
not be held liable for damages to the advertiser.
3. The advertiser assumes full and complete responsibility for
advertising content that is printed and published. The advertiser shall
indemnify and save the newspaper harmless against any demands,
claims or liabilities arising from the printing of an advertisement.
4. The publisher reserves the right to accept, classify, cancel, edit, or
reject any advertising copy submitted, and to place the words “PAID
ADVERTISEMENT’ on any advertisement.

12. ROP DEPTH REQUIREMENTS
Ads over 18 inches in height will be billed at 21.5 inches. The gutter
on a double-truck is billed as a full column.
13. CONTRACT, COPY REGULATIONS
A. PROOF CORRECTIONS
Advertisers will be furnished advertising proofs upon request when
advertising copy is submitted according to proof deadline.
Communication of proof correction instructions are the responsibility
of the advertiser. The newspaper assumes no liability for corrections
not made by advertiser on the proof. Proof corrections should be
limited to minor corrections or deletions in copy originally submitted
by advertiser. Excessive proof corrections, including alterations of
original layout will be subject to additional charges.
B. ADJUSTMENTS AND REBATES
Adjustments for errors will be made in the form of additional
advertising space and will be in no greater amount than the space
occupied by the error. Notice of errors must be given in time for
correction before additional insertions are made. The newspaper will
not be responsible for more than one incorrect insertion on an ad.
Claims for error adjustment must be made within seven days of
publication.
E. POLITICAL AND GOING-OUT-OF BUSINESS ADVERTISING
All political and going-out-of-business advertisements are accepted
on a paid in advance basis only. These advertisements must meet all
the laws, regulations and guidelines of national, state and local
government.
