History of Rap


Rap or rapping (melorecitation) - the type of vocal expression
consisting of rhythmic and expressive uttering of words and rhyme
with instrumental backing. Part of hip-hop culture. Rap arose in
the early 70s of the twentieth century in the United States among
black people. Though rap is widely regarded as the music, many
scientists claim it has close affinity with the poetry.
Rapping (also known as Emceein, MCing, or just rhyming)
The beginnings of rap in Poland

Very fast rap has become one of the main ways to express young
people’s opinions. They treated it as a way of expressing themselves,
their frustration or aggression. It was a kind way to express rebellion
against the cruelty of the world. Rhyming described a way of life, what
is important and really everything that was worth to rhyme. Then the
whole culture has accelerated rapidly. Many people gain appreciation
for Hip – Hop.

Peja, actually Richard Waldemar
Andrzejewski (born on 17 September, 1976 in
Poznań ), also known as Onomato,
Onomatopoeia, Rychu Peja SoLUfka, Sykuś
and Charlie P - Polish rapper and music
producer, and entrepreneur associated with
the culture of hip -hop .Ryszard
Andrzejewski is mainly known from many
years of performing in a musical group
Slums Attack, which he co-founded. In
2000-2004, he co-founded the formation of
Ski Magazine. Peja also worked, among
others, with acts such as: pin, Pih, Wiśnix,
Medi Top Algae, Włodi, Hemp Gru, WWO,
Tewu, Five Two Dębiec, Third Dimension,
Zipera, Sweet Noise, DonGURALesko,
WSRH, Paluch and Sudden Attack welder.

Tede
Tede, actually Jacek Maciej Graniecki (born on 24
July 1976 in Warsaw), also known as Tas Tas Da
Fleia, TDF, Tedeusz, Tedzik, Tedunio, Tedzio,
Fyodor, Sick Pastor and Mylffon - Polish rapper
and music producer, and entrepreneur and
television personality.
Since 2001 he has run a successful solo career.
Since 2003, is also known as DJ Buhh.
In 2013, together with Dioxane and Sir Michem he
formed a band under the name of Confirmed Info.
He also worked, among others, with such
performers as DJ 600V, Number One, a duo
Paresłów, Natalia Kukulska, Waldemar caste
DonGURALesko, AbradAb, OSTR, Falcon, Pono, a
group of Sister Hazel .

Sokół
Sokół, actually Wojciech Sosnowski (born on 11
March 1977 in Warsaw as Wojciech Sokol ), also
known as the Night Narrator - Polish rapper and
entrepreneur and radio journalist. Member of the
Phonographic Academy ZPAV. Wojciech
Sosnowski is best known for performances in the
musical group WWO, which he co-founded. Cofounder of the collective ZIP composition and
team TPWC. Since 2011 he has been performing
with the singer Marysia district administrator . He
also worked with acts such as: Slums Attack
Molesta, Hemp Gru, Hill Ya- Pa 3, OSTR, Mor WA,
Band Czerniakowska, Michal Urbaniak, Ania
Szarmach, TNA, Franek Kimono and Soundkail.
In 2011, Sosnowski was classified on no 2 of the list
of 30 best Polish rappers according to the
magazine Machina. As a journalist, was associated
with Roxy FM radio station. In addition to artistic
activity he has been Chairman of the Supervisory
Board Straight record label, which he founded.

Magik
Magik, actually Peter Breasted (born on 18
March 1978 in Jelenia Góra, died- Dec. 26, 2000
in Katowice ), also known as Mag Magik I
Psychotata, Neo and Zmazik - Polish rapper
and music producer. He finished Technical
Electromechanical School in Katowice. In 19941998 he performed in the musical group
Katowice Calibre 44. He performed in the
group Paktofonika, which he co-founded. He
was a member of the PROPS Entertaiment
which brings together artists from Europe and
the United States. With a group of Calibre 44
he was twice nominated for the Polish
phonographic industry Frederick. In 2001,
posthumously awarded the Fryderyk Award for
cinematography music group Paktofonika in
the category Album of the Year - Hip - Hop. In
2011, he was classified on the 8th of the list of 30
best Polish rappers according to the magazine "
Machina ".

O.S.T.R, actually Adam Andrzej Ostrowski
(born May 15, 1980 in Łódź ), also known as
Sharp and Oster - Polish rapper, freestylist,
musician, composer, and music producer and
sound engineer. A graduate of the Academy
of Music in Lodz in the violin.
Solo artist, associated with an annexe Asphalt
Records. In his work he raises issues such as
politics, corruption and social problems.
In 2006, the rapper was awarded the Polish
Radio BIS Biser in the category of Best energy
at the concert. Winner of the Polish
phonographic industry Fryderyk Award and
four-time Ślizger granted by the journal Base.
In 2011, he was classified on the 4th position
of the list of 30 best Polish rappers according
to the magazine Machina. A year later, in a
ranking of that list, he was chosen the best
Polish producer of hip –hop.

Pezet, actually Jan Paweł Kapliński
(born 18 April 1980 in Warsaw) Polish rapper and TV personality,
and entrepreneur. Kapliński
performed with a band Flame 81.
Until 2005 he recorded three
albums titled Forever will burn
(1999), Our Days (2000 ) and
Stories from the Hood ( 2005).
In 2002, his first solo album titled
Classical Pezet was released .

Wojciech Zawadzki started his
artistic activity in the early twentyfirst century, however, the first
attempts at rapping already tackled
during school. In 2008, together

Zeus
Zeus, actually Kamil Rutkowski (born
December 18, 1983 in Łódź ) - Polish rapper
and music producer. Member of the musical
group The first million. Together with the
band he recorded two albums : The first
mixtape of 2006, and Deep Cover Mixtape
released a year later. On April 6, 2008 he
released another solo album entitled Music
Rutkowski offensive. In May, with the
formation of dormant Walles City, Zeus began
working with a web radio station RadioStudyo.
In June of the same year, Zeus won the
nationwide contest for the demo. The main
prize was to record and release an album. In
August of the same year Zeus began to work on
a solo album „What is unmatched”, which was
published on 14 November 2008.
On November 21, 2009 he released his album
Fri Album of Zeus.

in Prudnik) - Polish raper. Michał
Buczek began his artistic activity at the
end of the first decade of the twentyfirst century. The beginning of his
activity was local and amateur. In 2011,
the rapper gave a concert as part of
"Hip-Hop Opole B4 Party". The
performance of a young artist was
noticed by a rapper Chady, who hired
him to work. The result was the song
"This can not be repaired”. The song hit
the third solo album Chady Fri One of
you, and completed her music video in
a few months, recorded a million hits
on YouTube.
