Endowed with diverse natural resources, San Juan,
Batangas is a first class municipality and a new favorite
destination for local and international tourists. Sixteen (16)
of its forty two (42) barangays are all potential tourists
and beachcombers haven. Predominantly devoted to
agriculture, the town has a total land area of 27, 340
hectares of coastal, inland and mountain areas all of which
contributed to the livelihood and income of the municipality.
It is approximately 43 kilometers east of Batangas City,
about the same distance southwest of Lucena City
and 120 kilometers east of Manila. The second largest
municipality in the province of Batangas, San Juan was
officially recognized in 1848 and celebrates its founding
anniversary on December 12 of each year.
San Juan Nepomuceno Parish

our colonial heritage. Tracing its origins back to more than one
and a half centuries ago, the church is a historical landmark.

Another evidence to San Juan’s rich cultural heritage
is its agricultural products like lambanog, palayok, panutsa,
tableya, atsara and native products, among others, which
in turn contribute jobs to its locals.

Y Vision Y
San Juan, Batangas is the premier tourist destination
in the country, an industrial center with productive
endowments of God-loving and empowered citizenry in
an ecologically balanced environment under a transparent
and responsive leadership. OR KEYBIBE
Y Mission Y
The Municipality shall pursue vigorous tourism plans
and programs, provide adequate infrastructure facilities
to boost industrialization and maximize agricultural
production, preserving the natural ecosystem while
producing economic opportunities. LAMBANOG
A nice trek in southern Batangas is the coastal mountain
of San Juan, Mt. Daguldul. The name ‘Daguldul’ or ‘Daguldol’
has been used since olden days. It has an onomatopoeic
feeling – that of suspense and grandness. It describes the
grandeur of the range and the abrupt rolling of its slopes.
Mt. Daguldul has several ‘gems’ to offer. First, there
is the unique seascape that greets the hiker on the initial
beach trail. Then, there is trail, moderate in difficulty, passing
by woodlands and light forests. Finally, there are excellent
side trip choices such as the unique Naambon Falls and the
acclaimed Laiya beach.
and karagatan, the famous tourist products and
destinations that contributed much to the economic growth
of San Juan. The celebration coincides with the foundation
day of San Juan, Batangas on December 12.
