As Accentra Credit Union celebrates our 85th anniversary, we realize the significant growth
that the credit union has experienced. This growth is mirrored in the growth that our
communities have also realized and even more importantly the growth that the individual
members have achieved. We are grateful for the trust that members put in us every day.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to a couple of the Accentra employees
who make our success possible. I plan to highlight all the employees throughout the
upcoming newsletters, because each and every employee contributes to our success.
Carol Kiefer started with the credit union over 40 years ago
(remarkable). Carol has held many positions with the credit union and
has been our collections and recovery officer for 24 years. When a
member, for whatever reason, has difficulty making their loan
payments it is Carol who helps them work through their situation.
Trying to help members who have experienced a setback to get back
on track is part of the job that Carol enjoys the most. We are grateful
for Carol’s dedication and the exceptional service she provides the
members.
Kim Schroeder has been the Vice President of Operations for
Accentra since 1994. Kim sees his position as building long-term
relationships with members while providing them with products and
services that are designed to be competitive and meet all their
financial needs. Kim works directly with members and provides them
with outstanding service and resolves issues in a professional and
timely manner.
When asked why he enjoys working for Accentra, Kim stated: “The
flexibility to make decisions knowing that those decisions are based on one of our core
values, being member-focused. We appreciate the loyalty shown to us over the past 85
years and we will continue to provide the best possible service and product mix to our
members for years to come.”
It is employees like these, and all our employees that have made our growth over the past
85 years possible. Current and past employees have and continue to embrace our mission
of helping members be successful with all their financial matters. I thank all the employees
for their service and I thank all the members for trusting Accentra Credit Union with all their
financial needs.

Holiday 2015 Shopping Made Easy
Last year over 300 members decided to ease their holiday shopping burden when they
opened a 2015 Christmas Club account. The proceeds of their Christmas Club account
will be deposited into their savings account and will be available on October 2nd.
If you would like to make next year’s holiday shopping easier, open a 2016 Christmas Club
account. Deposits may be made painlessly and conveniently by payroll deductions,
automatic transfers, or in person. Christmas Club accounts for 2016 may be opened in
October.
