The Swiss recording company «PANCLASSICS» was founded in 1992 by the music firm Pan
in Zurich and was acquired by the recording engineers Clément Spiess and Koichiro Hattori
in 1997. Since then and until summer 2008, the company has been located in Vevey, on Lake
Geneva. In 2008 the company changed into a foundation and moved to Baar, Switzerland.
2
In 2005, the decision was made to undertake a radical new beginning: the substantial catalog
was lightened, and the remaining recordings received an attractive new appearance. In the
now-obligatory «Digipacs,» the most striking design element is a square which has been
punched out to allow the cover motive to be only partially visible. This unmistakable exterior
lends the CDs a high degree of recognition value.
