President’s Message
As I write, another academic year has come to a close and all of us should be in our “summer mode”
now, with a more relaxed pace. We’ve had another great year in NVMTA, with many competitions and
festivals in which our students were able to participate. While there are many members who help to
make NVMTA a fine organization, I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all of the event
chairs, co-chairs and assistant chairs for their great service to NVMTA this past year. It is important for
us to remember that we would not be able to offer these wonderful opportunities to our students if it
weren’t for the willingness of these members to serve as chairs. I applaud you for your fine work and
dedication and I thank you for commitment to serve NVMTA in this capacity.
As many of you already know, the Directory will be entirely online this year, and I’m thrilled that the
members voted in favor of this change. We can now regularly update members’ contact information resulting in a significant cost savings for our organization.
I wish each of you a restful and fun-filled summer and I’ll look forward to seeing you in the fall.
