FLAMMABLE AND NON-FLAMMABLE CANISTER ADHESIVES
Self contained systems eliminating the need for a compressed air source. Since
no compressor is needed the system is completely portable within the shop or
at job site locations. There is no chance of contamination from the compressor
leaking water, oil or dirt into the adhesive. Maintenance free system - just
transfer the gun and hose (sold separately) to a fresh canister when necessary.
177 lb. and 355 lb. canisters are returned to Jaeckle when empty.

StoneX:
A combined natural and polished finish that allows a
design to come alive with an extra dimension of depth
that is just not possible with single textured finish. Our
StoneX finish, with a slightly decreased gloss level
and lessened differential of “hi and low” spots within
textures, allows for a durable and very cleanable
surface. As stated, ideal for residential use and equally
viable for commercial applications.
Granite:
Polished textured finish that takes the HiBrite finish
to a new level by adding an element of stone/granite
texture. Enhances “stone” laminates with extra depth

Leatherlam™
PIONITE® Leatherlam™ is made from real leather fibers
using our patent-pending Thermally Fused Leather
process to provide a kraft backing to the leather
surface.
PIONITE® Leatherlam™ is ideal for a wide range of
design applications. It offers the fabrication advantages
of our standard Pionite® High Pressure Laminates
and is easier to work with than natural leather hides,
because it is already thermally fused to a rigid substrate.
PIONITE® Leatherlam™ allows for 100% utilization of a
4’ x 8’ sheet. Because the high heat applied in the
postforming process would damage the natural leather
surface, PIONITE® Leatherlam™ cannot be postformed.
The PIONITE® Leatherlam™ surface displays resistance
to hot water, impact and most household stains.
Nominal dimensions are 58” x 96” x 0.045”.
Markerboard Laminate
Pionite Markerboard Laminate provides a nonabsorbent,
dry erase compatible surface suitable for a variety
of applications for boardrooms, schools, clinics and
hospitals. Type MB1 (.048”) and MB2 (.028”) are
vertical grade laminates intended for nonpostforming,
low abrasion applications. Markerboard laminate
should not be used in horizontal applications.
Standard Laminate
Three standard grades of Pionite laminate are
suitable for most applications.
General Purpose: Type G48 is most often used in
horizontal applications where high impact resistance
and a durable, decorative surface is required.
Postforming: Type F39 is designed for manufacturing
countertops and other horizontal surfaces where the
laminate may be heated and rolled over the substrate
edge to eliminate seams.
Vertical Grade: Type F28 is designed for applications
where impact resistance is less critical. Type F28 can
also be postformed.
MelCor II
MelCor II laminate may be used in any application
where a solid color edge is desired. MelCor II is
intended for use in applications where the edge
of the laminate contributes to the aesthetics of the
final product. Pionite’s patented manufacturing
process provides a second generation colorthrough laminate that is more flexible and much
less likely to chip than other color-through laminate. Multi-toned edges or sandwich colors provide
interesting design options. Grooves, bands, patterns,
or lettering may be fashioned with the use of routers,
engravers, or sandblasting equipment. Solid color
MelCor II is also ideal for high-wear applications since
gouges and cuts will not readily show. Due to its unique
composition MelCor II laminate will vary in color from
corresponding colors of Standard Pionite. Sample
evaluation is recommended.
Resobak
Resobak is a single-ply backing sheet that can be
applied to a substrate faced with high pressure
decorative laminate. With proper application,
Resobak will help to provide dimensional stability to
the assembly, reducing the likelihood of warpage.
Resobak sheets are available in either brown or
black. A slight variation in color is normal and should
be anticipated. Resobak sheets are not sanded.
Micastat
Micastat is an electrostatic dissipative laminate designed
for work surfaces in the manufacture and assembly of
static-sensitive electronic components. Micastat offers
the user a static safe work surface with the performance
of a high pressure decorative laminate. Due to the
unique composition of this product, Micastat colors and
corresponding colors in Standard Pionite are not exact
matches. Sample evaluation is recommended.
Micastat offers:
• Low electrical resistance. Surface to ground less
than 3 x 108 ohms.
• Absolute charge drainage and zero voltage
suppression. Micastat exhibits no voltage
suppression and dissipates a 5,000 volt static
charge to zero in less than 0.01 second per FTM-101C at 5 to 95 percent relative humidity.
• Micastat is postformable, but will require a larger
radius than standard laminate.
• Resistant to most common solvents, hot solder
and fluxes.
• Micastat is guaranteed to maintain its static
control properties.

Thick Phenolic Core Laminate
Pionite Thick Phenolic Core Laminate is designed
for applications where the decorative surface must
contribute to the structural stability of the finished
assembly. Thick Phenolic Core Laminate is available
in the following configurations: decorative both sides;
decorative one side, glueable one side; glueable both
sides.
Pearlescent Laminate
Pionite Pearlescent laminate showcases a dazzling
array of patterns printed with metallic and pearlescent
inks. Type G27 is a vertical grade laminate intended for
non-postforming, low abrasion applications. Type F26
is a postformable, vertical grade laminate intended for
low abrasion applications. Pearlescent laminate should
not be used in horizontal applications.
All Metal: Pionite solid metals are aluminum sheets
with ananodized finished surface to provide optimum
decorative qualities.
ChemGuard
Pionite ChemGuard incorporates the decorative
features of high-pressure laminate into a durable
chemical resistant surfacing material. ChemGuard is
available in any Pionite solid color, and can be made in
thicknesses between 0.048 inches (1.2mm) and 1 inch

ChemGuard’s superior chemical resistant surface
cannot be softened with heat for postforming.
Metallic Surfaces
Pionite metallic surfaces are available in two different
constructions:
Phenolic Back: Pionite phenolic back metallic
laminates combine the aesthetics of solid metal with
the ease of application of regular decorative laminates.
Cabinet Liner
Pionite Cabinet Liner provides a durable and
attractive surface to the inside of cabinets and
drawers. Cabinet Liner also imparts dimensional
stability to substrate that is faced with high pressure
decorative laminate.

Hi-Wear laminate is designed for applications requiring
increased abrasion and scuff resistance. This product
offers over five times the wear resistance of standard
grade laminate.
Backing Sheets
Pionite Backing Sheets are applied to the back
of a substrate that is faced with a high pressure
decorative laminate. With proper application, Pionite
Backing Sheets will provide dimensional stability to
the assembly, reducing the likelihood of warpage.
Pionite Backing Sheets are phenolic laminate that are
not intended for decorative surfacing. A slight variation
in color is normal and should be anticipated. Pionite
Backing Sheets are available in either brown or black.
Backing Sheets are normally sanded on one side,
however, both sides can be sanded.
Fire Rated Laminate
Pionite Fire Rated laminate is designed for interior
horizontal and vertical applications where a decorative
surface must resist combustion and inhibit smoke
production. Fire Rated laminate, Type K, retains the
durability, ease of cleaning, and appearance (including
color) of standard Pionite laminate. Pionite Fire Rated
laminate is classified in the U.S. and Canada by
Underwriters Laboratory, Inc. under File R6581. Pionite
Fire Rated Backing Sheets are also available and
provide fire ratings equal to fire rated decorative
laminate of the same thickness.

uses for NuMetal™ products.

Thickness:
All laminates are .035” with the exception of Dekorial
Patina and Unique Art, which are .050”. Stainless steel
has a slight seam at 24”.
Fabricating:
NuMetal™ is fabricated with the same tools used on
any high pressure laminate (special instructions are
needed for fabricating stainless steel, please inquire).
NuMetal™ products bond to various substrates the
same as other high pressure laminates.
Adhesives:
Any contact adhesive or cold set adhesive normally
used with high pressure laminates is suitable. Use
only naptha or benzene as adhesive cleanup. Do not
use lacquer solvents or other adhesive solvents.
Storage:
Metal laminates should be stored face up in a cool, dry
area in a completely supported flat position. Use a top
sheet of chip board or similar material to hold sheets
stored flat. Edge storage is not recommended.
Maintenance:
Clean surfaces with a soft cloth using household
cleaners, waxes, window cleaning solutions, or ordinary
soap and water. Good furniture or automobile waxes
provide additional protection for all metal laminate
surfaces.
Fire Rating:
Available upon request.
Postforming:
Many items are available in postforming grade by
special order. Please inquire.
Balancing:
Counter balancing is necessary as with other high pressure
laminates to prevent warping of the substrate. All NuMetal™
products are at home in any application where high pressure
laminates would be used (vertical or horizontal).

Clearcore™ Acrylic Laminates
Clearcore™ laminates are made from clear thermoplastic
resins, usually modified acrylic, reverse decorated
with color pattern or metallic pigments to create an
ultra-high gloss and durable laminate that can be used
both for interior and exterior purposes. Clearcore™ is
suitable for use in vertical and light duty horizontal
applications where high pressure laminates may be
appropriate. It is recommended for interior applications
such as furniture displays, kitchen cabinet doors, wall
décor, signage, and other interior design applications.

Fabrication:
Clearcore™ laminates can be fabricated with standard

pressure laminates. A fabrication manual is available with
specific information.
Forming:
Clearcore™ sheets can be positioned, membrane
pressed, and vacuum formed to a low or moderate draw.

Protective Finish
This Butcher Block top is intended to be used as a true cutting surface. It is coated
with an acrylic finish, DURAKRYL 102, which does not require any maintenance.
It is not necessary to sand off this finish prior to using the top, as it is approved for
foodservice use. The finish is formulated to repel most household solvents. Stains
can be cleaned off with fingernail polish remover or bleach. Neither of these two
substances can hurt the finish. Although the finish is durable, it will scratch.
Clean it like you would any cutting surface, not allowing water to remain on
the block for any length of time. To help preserve your block if used as a cutting
surface it would be advisable to periodically reseal ONLY the area in which you
cut on. Mineral oil can be used. If it becomes necessary to refinish your block
due to usage, we suggest sanding the finish off and applying either an oil finish
or resealing with “Good Stuff” Urethane Gel clear protective finish.
