The Geneva Suite, at the Grand
The suite is designed to be catered for independently from the rest of the hotel and
boasts its own butler. For security; bullet proof
windows, security room and camera surveillance on all parameters of the suite. Latest in electronic technology; flat screen TVs’
changing orientation and luminosity adjusting to that of the room. Client’s favorite films
and music placed on server before arrival;

Externally both floors are accessible by two
private lifts; within the suite access is by a
spiral flying staircase. The lower floor marble
floor enters into a large living are occupying
one of the buildings angles encompassing a
gas fireplace, two sets of deep settees, armchairs, coffee tables and a dinner table seating up to twelve. Further, on the floor there
is an office, security room, kitchen and a private lounge alongside a master bedroom.
Private quarters, with two master bedrooms
each en suite with marble bathroom and
walk-in closets are situated on the second
floor, along with a private living room with
a lounge, a dining corner seating up to ten,
fireplace, billiard room, gym and steam bath.
Views from the terrace look onto the Old
Town, Jet d’eau and Mont Blanc. It is decked
in Brazilian hardwood with exclusive tables
and deckchairs made from carbon fiber.

The Geneva Suite, at the Grand
Inspired interior architecture and decoration
Tarek Hegazy, the designer, aimed at maximizing the view; incorporating the privacy required. This required a complete change in
structure to visualize the concept of a royal
suite inclusive of a technically complex spiral flying staircase linking both floors and a
glass-encased fireplace on the upper floor,
scenery lighting controlled remotely by touch
panels. The color scheme varies; brown and
grey in the living area on lower floor, master
bedroom in darker soothing tones. Golden
lame and egg shell for the second bedroom
with sand, slate and a touch of green in the
third. The billiard room is in black, dark brown
and beige.

Noble materials have been used throughout; marble and sandstone, rosewood and
ebony, velvet and silk. A total of 160 m2 of
hand-made, silk carpets bedecks the floors
of the living and dining areas whilst the wall
are covered in chamois leather, hand made
leather mosaics of pure silk. Furniture is custom made; chairs have non/standard measure and the accessories are either unique
pieces or limited editions.

Project description: The history of the Taschenberg palais goes
back to the year 1709, when Augustus the Strong had it built for
Countess Cosel by the baroque architect Pöppelmann.
The building was destroyed during World War II. In 1993-94 ADVANTA AG had the idea of reconstructing the building in its
original magnificence.
The Kempinski Hotel Taschenberg palais Dresden has retained
the old Palais’ fascination: the architects and craftsmen have
skillfully managed to combine the charm of times past with the
esprit of present times. The Style is an exciting combination of
baroque/ modern architecture and luxurious equipments. The
hotel comprises 188 luxuriously furnished rooms along with 25
suites.

Project description: The Grand Hotel Europe was accepted into “The Leading Hotels of the World” in 1994; it was the first Russian hotel to receive this prestigious award.
It also received the Egon Ronay Guide
Award for the best hotel in Eastern Europe.
The hotel has been chosen as one of “The
most famous Hotels in the world”, along
with a special book which has been written
about the legendary history of this home.
Located in the very heart of the historic
central St. Petersburg, the Grand Hotel
Europe combines all of the splendor of a
bygone age with deluxe modern facilities
and the highest international standards
of service. The first five-star hotel in Russia,
the Grand Hotel is far more than simply a
superlative hostelry--it is an integral part
of the history and the culture of its city. Its
roots date back to the 1820s, and for more
than 150 years the Grand Hotel Europe has
stood at the very center of the city’s social,

The complete renovation of the Grand
Hotel Europe between 1989 and 1991 returned the hotel’s rooms and suites to a level of graciouselegance that St. Petersburg
had not seen since the era of the Tsars. At
that time the Grand Hotel, then known as
the Hotel de l’Europe, was one of the premier hotels in the world, and it was with that
proud heritage in mind that the renovation
was so carefully administered. The result is
