experience for anyone interested in the
world of theatre. All classes are taught by
working industry professionals and have
a max class size of 16 to insure personal
attention and hands-on experience.

TRIPLE THREAT: AUDITIONING FOR
MUSICAL THEATRE
Ages 15-18: 1pm-4pm
April 9-May 14, 2016 (Sat afternoons)
Back by popular demand, this advanced workshop
for teen performers is designed to hone audition
skills in the three key musical theatre performance
areas—acting, singing and dance—and ends with
an audition opportunity for industry professionals!
Students will learn from theatre veterans, focusing
on practical techniques and strategies in key musical
theatre performance areas--acting, singing, and
dance--to help them stand out from the crowd and
become a more well-rounded performer--a true
“triple threat!” Perfect for college audition prep or
auditions for summer shows!
Pre-requisites: Students must exhibit an
appreciation and aptitude for musical theatre.
Students are also required to submit a video
audition of a musical theatre piece, and a video
of a monologue (if available). If unable to submit
a video, please contact Kate Wilford, kwilford@
rauecenter.org, to schedule an audition.
Application deadline is March 25, 2016.
Our signature workshop is back for its fifth year and
more popular than ever! During this three-week intensive
musical theatre program (for ages 14-18), students will
explore all aspects of classic and modern musical theatre,
with a focus on the three core performance disciplines
unique to the genre--acting, singing and dance. This
workshop culminates in a showcase of songs and scenes
on the stage of the Raue Center for the Arts.
Pre-requisites: Students must exhibit an appreciation and
aptitude for musical theatre. Students are also required
to submit a video audition of a song (no more than three
minutes). If unable to submit a video, please contact Kate
Wilford, 815.356.9010 X10, to schedule an audition.
Application deadline for all summer workshops is May
20, 2016.
JUNIOR MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP

Back by popular demand, we bring back our summer
class in our Sage Studio Junior series, introducing
young students to the exciting world of musical theatre
performance. In this one-week program, instructors will
focus on all aspects of acting, movement, dance, and
vocal technique to give students a glimpse into the craft
of this vibrant art form, foster their creativity and talent,
and help them develop as young performers. The class
culminates in a showcase for friends and family!
Pre-requisites: None.

TUITION AND PAYMENT POLICY: Classes are $100 (unless
otherwise noted) and payment is due within 14 days of
receipt of the notification of acceptance or the position will
not be held for the student. Financial aid and scholarships
are available on a case-by-case evaluation. Please contact
