an. 11 marked the first
1. Worship Now: Be
National Anthem
Men’s Gathering of 2014.
present and be a partner in
J
These monthly gatherings
are meant to be a place where
Greater men mobilize and prepare
for the Greater Future of our
church.
Pastor Clark said during his
message to the men, “The place
where God is taking our church is
going to require the strength of
men.”
After listening to their leader,
the level of testosterone rose in
the sanctuary.
Like soldiers hearing a
challenging call from their general
right before they charge a hill, the
men at the gathering where
locked with enthusiasm and
loaded with courage as Pastor
Clark continued by
communicating Five Great
Challenges:
worship. Do your part to make
his praise glorious.
2. Connect Now: Get in a
COG this semester.
3. Serve Now: Make
Greater, greater using your gifts.
4. Give Now: Give more
than ever this year.
5. Let me lead you now:
Referring to what Paul said to the
Corinthian Church, “Follow my
example, as I follow the example
of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
The first Men’s Gathering
had an awesome start and will
only get better.
The next gathering is this
Saturday, Feb. 22 at 9 a.m.
Pastor Clark will be sharing
what men must do to grab hold
of God’s best.

(Lift Every Voice and
Sing)
Lift Every Voice and sing till earth and
heaven ring
Ring with the harmonies of liberty
Let our rejoicing rise high as the listening
skies
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea
Sing a song, full of the faith that the dark
past has taught us
Sing a song, full of the hope that the
present has brought us
Facing the rising sun of our new day
begun
Let us march on till victory is won
……..
Stony the road we trod, bitter the
chastening rod
felt in the days when hope unborn had
died
yet with a steady beat, have not our weary
feet
come to the place for which our fathers
sighed?
We have come, over a way that which
tears has been watered
We have come, treading out path through
the blood of the slaughtered
Out of the gloomy past, till now we stand

tears
Thou who has brought us thus far on the
way
Thou who hast by thy might, led us into
the light
Keep us for-e-ver in the path we pray

Lest our hearts, drunk with the wine of

Shadowed beneath thy hand, may we
forever stand
true to our God, true to our native land
