5kW FM Transmitter
The 5kW offers the most affordable, field proven,
reliable, solid state transmitter on the market.
Its simplicity, and superior modular design make the 5K
both easy & versatile to operate and maintain.
The 5kW utilizes the EX2-250 250W Stereo Exciter
as the driver. The EX2-250 provides the ultimate in audio
performance to rival most digital exciters on the market
today.
The 5kW R.F Amplifier consists of 6 x 1kW
wideband amplifiers. Each amplifier consists
of 4 x 280W parallel amplifiers stages. The
6 x 1kW amplifiers are combined via a 6-way
Wilkinson hybrid combiner, which provides adequate
isolation between stages, to enable a 1kW
module to be removed without interrupting service.
Switching unit and telemetry interface are optional to provide
remote and automatic control and fault monitoring.
The system PSU is based on a linear supply, including a
transformer and linear regulators to provide operation
in un-stable mains environments.
