Budget Honors Received The City of McDonough has received the pres gious…‘Distinguished Budget Presentation Award’
...for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013. This award
is presented by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for an outstanding budget meeting all
the standards of GFOA.

As a Welcome Center staff member, it is part of her July Employee of the Month job to be hospitable to the hundreds of people who Done

Cer ficate Mrs. McDonough, who was visi ng from Maryland, was very excited to be in of our historic town and wanted to know everything that she could about the town. Recogni on Mrs. Lacey spent more than 40 minutes, talking about the history, unique facts, a rac ons, businesses and other points of interest. She took the me to get Mrs. McDonough brochures, promo onal items, and even a McDonough commemora ve plate that had been le over from a past promo on. Mrs. McDonough and her family ended up spending several hours in McDonough, when they had only planned to spend a few minutes, and ate at a local restaurant and shopped in two stores.
