During this quarter the community education team and 50
volunteers worked diligently to increase awareness for
organ and tissue donation. A total of 110 people signed up
to be organ donors, and we reached an audience of
approximately 50,000.

In 2006, Terry Murray, donor wife and sister of a kidney
recipient who received his gift from their living donor mother,
was able to coordinate and speak to more than 20 high school
health classes in Montgomery Co., MD. Because of her endless
commitment to educate our youth and the community, she single-handedly reach more than 5,000 students and has quite
possibly saved more through her efforts. She represented
WRTC at the 2008 Rose Parade and will serve as upcoming Donor Family Council Chairperson.
