Scenic Chairlift
The scenic chairlift is open 365 days a year. The Kosciuszko Express Chairlift is 1.8km long and rises 560 vertical
metres. The ride takes 15 minutes one way and offers spectacular valley views as you are lifted to the closest access
point to Mount Kosciuszko.

Bobsled rides
The Thredbo Bobsled is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. With 700m of luge style track the bobsled twists and
turns its way down the mountain whilst you control the speed with a brake on your cart. It’s great fun for all the family.

Golf
Play a round of golf on Australia’s highest course. The nine hole, AGU rated course is bordered by the Thredbo river
and has unique and challenging features such as the snake pit and Wally Wombat’s House. Equipment hire and green
fees can be paid at Thredbo Sports.

Tennis
Thredbo has four flood lit tennis courts that are available from 7am until 10pm daily in the summer months. Tennis
racquets and balls can also be hired from Thredbo Sports.

Guided walks
There are a variety of exciting and adventurous walks to suit what ever your fitness level. The Thredbo Guided walks
offer security and knowledge, you will discover the unique wildlife and take in the magic views from the rooftop of
Australia.

Horse riding
Follow in the footsteps of the Man from Snowy River and explore the High Country on horseback. There are many
Snowy Mountain horse-riding trails to choose, and they range from two-hour beginner strolls to overnight camping
trips.You’ll enjoy spectacular mountain bush scenery offering endless views, wildflowers and wildlife as well as a
trailside snack or picnic lunch.

Mountain biking
Where better to pedal about on a mountain bike than in the Snowy Mountains.You can hire everything you need in
Thredbo or bring your own equipment. There is easy trail and village riding for all to enjoy or for those that get their
thrill from an adrenalin rush, try taking the Kosciuszko Express to the top and riding the Thredbo Downhill trail. All
riders using the chairlift must be on a guided or patrolled Downhill Unlimited Session with South East Mountain Bike
Co and must have completed an initiation session.

Quad biking
Jump onto one of Snowy Wilderness’ 500cc top of the range quad bikes for an exciting and adrenalin filled adventure.

Climbing and abseiling
View the High Country from a different angle as you step over the edge and begin abseiling. The superb granite tors
above Thredbo are a spectacular place to have a go at this exciting sport. Qualified instructors from Snowy Mountains
Climbing School will show you the ropes and ensure that your experience is not only fun, but safe.

Fly-fishing
Wet a line and try your luck at fly-fishing. The Thredbo River is filled with fresh tasty trout just waiting to be caught.

Thredbo Leisure Centre
The Thredbo Leisure Centre has a 25 and 50m swimming pool, water slide, squash court, gymnasium, inflatable
obstacle course and traverse-climbing wall.
Team building or recreational activities can be organised through our specialised activities coordinators. Some ideas
include:
Indoor Mini Olympics
Duration: 1.5-2hours
Description: Fun & games in our indoor sports hall
Choose from a variety of sports and/or a variety of novelty events. Teams rotate through the games, scoring points as
they go. Points are compiled for each event, with the winning team announced at the completion.
Activities include: Basketball, captain ball, soccer penalty shoot out, egg drop, traverse-climbing wall, table tennis,
volleyball and the ultimate fitness test, the shuttle run.

Tailor-made Yoga
Duration: 60 minutes
Description: One of the oldest forms of exercise is now making a resurgence in the western world. Improve the
strength and flexibility of the body, the focus and concentration of the mind, and the relaxation of both mind & body.
All levels of Yoga experience can be catered for from never-evers and beginners through to the experienced Yoga

Pilates
Duration: 60mins
Description: Pilates is a full body conditioning technique designed to stretch, strengthen and balance your body. All
levels are catered for.

Raft Rescue
Duration: 1 – 2 hours
Description: The aim is to build your own raft using the equipment provided. Two nominated paddlers don a buoyancy
vest and are then blindfolded. Under the direction of sighted team members, the blind paddlers launch the raft and
paddle it to the other side of the pond to rescue two castaways. Once back to the mainland, the two rescued people
don the life jackets and blindfolds and paddle for the next two castaways. Repeat until everyone is rescued, nominate
your two best paddlers to bring back the island treasure!!

Deluxe Photo Challenge
The Deluxe Photo challenge is a jam-packed activity. Utilising the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift – note: when the
Kosciuszko Express is not operational, the Snowgums Chairlift will run, Fly down the Famous Thredbo Bobsled.
Teams head up and down the mountain in search of the answers on their Photo Challenge booklet. The questions are
hard but the views are amazing as your head up to the top of Australia. Finish this challenge unscathed and the Deluxe
Challenge is all yours.
Min No 12 Max No 60 Cost $34.00 per person
Speed Golf
Duration: 2 hours
Ambrose style golf. Each player has their shot and the next shot is taken from the best placed ball. The faster a team
can complete the course will result in shots been deducted. For example if a team completes the course in 45 minutes
they might get 20 shots deducted. The team must use at least one tee off shot from each group as their first shot. It is
also important that each team show honesty in counting shots.

Prison Break
Duration: 2 hours
Description: Fun & games in our indoor sports hall
It is more catered to a group of about 10-12 people. The storyline is based on Prison Break. Each team must complete
a series of team building challenges to escape from the Thredbo Prison. The challenge can be finished with a Raft
Challenge to finally escape from the prison or Mission Inflatable in the pool.
Min No 10 Max No. 12 Cost $15.00 per person
$20 per person if group would like to finish the challenge with a Raft Rescue or
Mission Inflatable.
