Hurstville Oval

Hurstville Oval is widely regarded among cricketers as
one of the best ovals in NSW. It also has a long and
colourful history of producing cricketing greats. Don
Bradman was just one of many sports people who
made their names at club level while playing at
Hurstville Oval and then moving on to achieve national
and international acclaim.
The Oval also hosts athletics and numerous other
sports including soccer, cycling (velodrome)
and Rugby League.

government area, you can also enjoy the many
walkways and boardwalks along the foreshore of the
Georges River. Hurstville City Council has developed a
network of walkways which provide for a pleasant stroll
along the waterfront. Walkways are located on Salt Pan
Creek, Boggywell Creek, Jewfish Bay (Oatley Park) and
Lime Kiln Bay.

you to dispose of wisely

secrets. It is easily the largest recreational area in our
city, a 45-hectare park that juts out into the Georges
River.
It boasts trees, shrubs and native flowers, walking
tracks, a tidal pool and prolific bird life.
The Oatley Park Castle is a popular venue for events
and picnics, and the steam roller park is always popular
with the kids, as is the river beach and numerous
walking tracks and playing fields.
It is a modern state-of-the-art facility that can
play host to many sports including basketball,
karate, kung-fu, indoor soccer, aerobics, badminton,
netball, indoor touch football, gymnastics and baton
twirling.
The multi-purpose stadium can also be used for large
community events.
