Behind the Scenes: Lincoln Park Zoo
Everyone loves a visit to Lincoln Park Zoo, but how many of us can say we have
been behind the scenes? You and your group of 6 will have an All-Access Pass
as zoo experts take you to areas that are off limits to everyone else but you! See
behind the cages of the tigers, help train a polar bear, join us to feed a gorilla, or
much, much more! Lunch is included for your group too!
Junior Vet Academy
Does your child want to be a veterinarian? Then you'll want to snap up this
chance to join MedVet Chicago doctors and staff in an interactive veterinary
experience for your child! During the Junior Vet Academy session, one student
(age 6-12) will experience a fun-filled day of hands-on veterinary activities
including surgery, bandaging, x-rays, microscopes, patient exams, and much
more! The winner will take home a lab coat, stethoscope, graduation certificate,
and their very own stuffed animal patient, as well as a special goodie bag of
Bentley's Corner Barkery healthy, all-natural treats for their favorite canine!
Choose from one of two sessions: March 20 or June 12 from 10 a.m. to 12:15

Participants must be 6-12 years old.
All Creatures Great and Small: Vet for a Day
James Herriot and Dr. Doolittle move over! Your Vet for a Day will schedule a
visit to Bramer Animal Hospital for the opportunity to meet and shadow Dr.
Hagedorn. The lucky Vet for a Day will accompany Dr. H into exam rooms to see
patients and observe the check up process from start to finish. During this time,
your child will see how Dr. H communicates with owners, diagnoses and treats
his patients. Your child will also learn how to take a heart rate, respiratory rate
and why those tests are important. Next, Dr. H will how your child how he uses
radiology and reviews x-rays. The Vet for a Day will be taught how to analyze
blood smears, ear smears, and parasites through a microscope. In addition, they
will learn how to use the surgical instruments and possibly how to suture. To end
the day, your child will perform a mock surgery on a stuffed animal while wearing
a surgical gown, mask, and gloves.

The Ultimate Art Play Date with Ms. Toole!
Treat your child, age preschool to 3rd grade, to an afternoon of play and art in
the Art Studio with Ms. Toole! Your child can invite up to 5 friends to join them for
an afternoon of creativity and creation. Imagine having the whole art studio
reserved just for you and your friends! Ms. Toole will provide all materials and will
be there to assist the children as they bring their ideas to life. The children will
have a choice of materials and can draw, paint, sculpt, print, sew, or build to their
heart's content!
Cake Boss with Mrs. Rampey
Your kids will love a bakery-themed session for two that includes fondant, icing
and other inspiring materials to decorate with 4th grade teacher Mrs. Rampey
and one of her wondrous cakes. Date: Friday, May 9. Time: 3:30-4:15 p.m.

Beach & Spikeball Party with Mrs. Williams & Mr. Meyer
Take Fun and Action, put them together, and what do you get? A beach party
picnic with Mr. Meyer and Mrs. Williams! Come join this dynamic duo for a super
fun game of "Spikeball" at the beach followed by a catered picnic to satisfy your
appetite (allergies and food restrictions accommodated). Date: Sunday, June 5

Head of School for a Day
What kind of leader are you? Be Mr. Schwartz for the day and find out! Welcome
students at morning drop-off, visit classes, and hold meetings. Your child and two
friends will eat a private lunch with Mr. Schwartz in the faculty lounge! (Allergies
and food restrictions accommodated.) This is a once-a-year opportunity to fill
some powerful shoes and make a decision -- or two. Kids only (sorry)!
Librarian for a Day
Get your kid's inner librarian on as Ms. Fisher for a day -- or half a day. Up to
you! Shush to your heart's content, read favorite stories to the youngest students,
and check their books in and out. Date-stamping madness! For 4th through 8th
grade students only.
Mr. D Babysits
Have your kiddos enjoy a fun-filled four to five hours of babysitting by our very
own Mr. Dunafin! Having Mr. D watch your kids is like having Rick Bayless as
your personal cook! The only problem is they may not want any other babysitters
after that! (To be completed on a mutually agreed upon date between May 13
and August 1.)
One Reserved Parking Space for 2016-2017 School Year
Want reserved parking for the biggest (i.e., most crowded) events of the school
year? We are raffling off reserved spots for the first and last days of school, the
Holiday Sing, the Baker 5K, and Grandparents & Special Friends Day.
Your School, Your Pool
Make a big splash for your kid's birthday with a pool party at Baker! Or celebrate
graduation for your child's entire class! A great (and safe) time is assured with
Mr. D lifeguarding and running the games! Invite up to 25 kids for a two-hour
party at Baker's pool. (Parental/guardian assistance will be needed for additional
lifeguard support.) Feel free to bring your own food (per school allergy and food
restrictions) and celebrate a special occasion with your private group of friends
and family in the water and out! Expires December 2016.
The Force is Strong in You, Young Jedi!
Spend a Friday afternoon battling the Dark Side with Mr. Meyer and Mr. Millner!
May the Force be with you in a contest of gaming skills with two of Baker's famed
cyber-warriors! Test your skill against these two expert gamers in Star Wars
Battlefront. Bring up to three other young Jedi for reinforcements. You'll have the
option to play both multi-player and survival. This two-hour after-school party will
take place at Baker and includes pizza and refreshments. The auction package
winner will also receive a Sphero BB-8. Time: 4-6 p.m. after school on a Friday at
a date mutually agreed upon by the winner, Mr. Millner, and Mr. Meyer. May not

Visions for a Just and Humane World: Baker Student-Made Quilt
Child-made art warms our hearts and brightens our lives like nothing else. Take a
quilt made with the hands of our children sewing into it their dreams for a better
world, and you have a poignant masterpiece of storytelling. Created by Baker’s
third, fourth and fifth graders, this one-of-a-kind quilt features 90 hand-decorated
squares that show each student’s vision for a better world.
Smylie Brothers Tasting Party
What can you do with 14 friends that is fun, light, and lively? Bring them to
Evanston's favorite watering hole for a special tasting party! Go behind the
scenes at Smylie Brothers Brewing Co. to see how they make an outstanding
brew. Following the tour, enjoy a private tasting of Smylie Brothers' most popular
libations. A great way to start an evening out or savor a before- or after-dinner
gathering.
City Winery Experience Package
Swirl, Sniff, Sip! Good times, wine friends. Come on over to City Winery and get

Billy Joel Under the Stars in August
