Zhuhai Xiang Yi Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. is the largest civil
pilot training center in China. It is a joint venture founded in 2003
between China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. and CAE Inc.
Zhuhai Flight Training Center was founded in 1992 by China
Southern Airlines — one of the top three civil aviation companies
in China. CAE is the world’s largest manufacturer of civil flight
simulators and second largest provider of civil flight training
services. We endeavor to provide you with the best training
environment possible through a combination of wide professional
experience and advanced technology.

Welcome to Zhuhai Xiang Yi Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. (Xiang

successfully.
This booklet provides you with useful information about your
training and your stay at Xiang Yi.

Please register for parking at the main gate security office. Park

Fingerprint Registration
You are required to provide identification and register your finger
print to access to the training center. Please go to the Customer
Service Center to complete the registration.

maintenance team. Follow the instructions given by your
instructor or our staff to evacuate the training center.
 Power Interruption
If a power interruption occurs, please call customer service and
scheduling for further information. In the event of a power
interruption, your patience and cooperation will be highly
appreciated.

 Typhoon Warnings
For your safety, please stay at a
designated shelter should a typhoon
approaches. Pay attention to local
media for typhoon information, or
contact customer service for your
training schedule updates.
White Typhoon Signal
The territory may be affected by a tropical cyclone within
48 hours.
Blue Typhoon Signal
The territory is affected or may be affected within 24
hours by a tropical cyclone. Mean wind force may
exceed strong breeze, and gusts may exceed moderate
gale. The wind condition is expected to persist.
Yellow Typhoon Signal
The territory is affected or may be affected within 24
hours by a tropical cyclone. Mean wind force may
exceed fresh gale, and gusts may exceed strong gale.
The wind condition is expected to persist.
Orange Typhoon Signal
The territory is affected or may be affected within 12
hours by a tropical cyclone. Mean wind force may
exceed whole gale, and gusts may exceed storm. The
wind condition is expected to persist.
Red Typhoon Signal
The territory is affected or may be affected within 12
hours by a tropical cyclone. Mean wind force exceeds or
may exceed hurricane. The wind condition is expected to
persist.

 Ground School Notices
You may obtain ground school information by:
1. Inquiring at customer service.
2. Reading the Notice Board located in
the customer service center.
3. Using the self-service inquiry on the
LED Touchscreen Information Inquiry
System, located beside the customer
service center.
4. Reading the notice in the lobby of CSN
Pearl Hotel.
 Simulator Schedule
Your individual schedule will be delivered to your instructor’s hotel
room one day prior to the start of training. If you do not receive it
in time or you want to check it in advance, you may:
1. Use the Self-service inquiry on the
LED Touchscreen Information
Inquiry System, which is located
beside the customer service
center as well as the simulator
maintenance office.
2. Inquire at Xiang Yi customer
service or Xiang Yi scheduler.

 Training Process
I. Recurrent Training
Remarks: for CSN Airlines only.
1. Complete the CBT self-study & examination.
Location: 4F
2. Obtain blank certificate & 121 recurrent check list at the
customer service center.
3. If you are scheduled for the emergency training, please do
the fire fighting first.
4. Simulator training & check-ride.
5. After completion of the check-ride, the inspector will sign
your training certificate & complete the check list.
6. Go to the customer service center, where we will stamp,
copy & file your training certificate.
II. Fire Fighting Training
Remarks: for CSN Airlines only.
1. Firefighting time: Mon-Sat 9:30-10:30, 14:00-16:00
2. Location: step outside the north lobby gate, turn left, then
turn left again

III. Emergency Training
Meet in the 1st floor, north lobby at 9:00am. The instructor will lead
you to the slide trainer & fire fighting training devices. If you want
to check your training date, please inquire at customer service.
IV. Initial / Transition Training
1. Arrive at the classroom in time.
2. The instructor will give an overall introduction & provide the
syllabus and stationeries.
3. After completion of the ground school course, your simulator
schedule & training booklets will be delivered to your instructor’s
hotel room. Please follow the schedule & complete your
simulator sessions.
4. Before the check-ride, the 121 recurrent check list & the
blank certificate will be delivered to your instructor. If you do not
receive it in time, please inquire at the customer service center.
5. After completion of your check-ride, please go to the
customer service center & have your certificate stamped, copied
& filed.
V. Other Training

 Training Materials
Self-Service Material Lockers
We have prepared some self-service
lockers. You can keep some of your
training materials in your company’s
locker. Location: 2F, nearby the
maintenance office
Library
Some manuals in the library are
available to borrow. The number of
manuals is limited and they are
checked-out on a first come, first serve
basis. A deposit is required. All materials
provided by the library are for training
purposes only. Location: 4F
Training Materials in Briefing Rooms
The LED Touchscreen Briefing
Information System is available for use
in the briefing rooms. The system
includes Cockpit panels, User manuals,
QRHs, airports navigation charts, and
other supporting documents.
Remarks: If your company did not provide an e-document to
Xiang Yi for your training, you may not be able to use it.
Training Material in Simulators
User manuals, QRHs & some airport navigation charts are
available in the simulators. Please leave these materials in the
simulator. Your cooperation is highly appreciated.

 Lounges
Tea, coffee and fruits are served free of charge in the lounges.
Some snacks are offered to trainees who might miss meals
service due to their simulator training schedule.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in our buildings except in the
designated smoking areas:

 Internet Access
There are computers with free internet access in the lounges for
you to use.
Wi-Fi signal is provided for free in all buildings.

Please do not take photos in our buildings unless it is authorized.
