Visit one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Begin your adventure with an
early morning 1½-hour transfer from your Cuzco hotel through the scenic Sacred
Valley of the Incas. Upon arrival at the Ollantaytambo train station, you will board
the Vistadome train for a 1½-hour ride to Aguas Calientes located just below
Machu Picchu. Journey up the switchbacks to the mountaintop citadel of Machu
Picchu for a 2-hour guided tour and then explore the site on your own. The next
day return to Machu Picchu for a second visit. Mid-afternoon return to Cuzco.
The beautiful Urubamba River Valley, also known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas,

villages on this 3-night camping program. On day 4, you will take an afternoon
train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, the town below Machu Picchu, where

can often be viewed will be the playful Giant Otters, and 10 species of monkeys, including the mustachioed
Emperor Tamarin. Occasionally even the magnificent jaguar can be spotted. Manu Wildlife Center is located
east of the Manu River on the north bank of Madre de Dios River, 2 hours from Cuzco by charter air and boat.

Called the Sacred Lake of the Incas, Lake Titicaca is one of the highest navigable
lakes in the world. The setting is spectacular – the deep blue lake with the
majestic Royal Range of the Andes in the background. Our base for exploring
the area is the Inca Utama Hotel on the shore of Lake Titicaca. This unique
hotel features an Andean Roots Cultural Complex, a living museum set up
to preserve the local traditions and culture of the Andean people, including a
full-size replica of the RA II, the reed boat built in Bolivia for Thor Heyerdahl’s
famous expedition. After 2 nights at Lake Titicaca you will return to La Paz
with a stop at Tiwanacu ruins, the ancient capital of the Aymara civilization.
Later you will have a city tour of La Paz which will include the city’s large
Indian market, including the Witches Market, followed by a visit to the unique
rock formations of Moon Valley.
