Day 1 Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio and get settled into your
hotel. This afternoon you will ascend
the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain via a
breathtaking cable car ride. Afterwards,
you will visit and walk through Rio’s
beautiful Botanical Gardens. (B)
Today you will take the cog railway
to the peak of Corcovado Mountain,
where the statue of Christ the Redeemer (voted one of the Seven Wonders
of the World) overlooks the city from a
height of 2,300 feet. Enjoy the panoramic view of Rio including its famous
beaches and Guanabara Bay. Your
descent will bring you through the lush
Tijuca Forest, the world’s largest urban
forest. (B)
Day 6 Buenos Aires
Today you will embark on a journey
through the city’s various neighborhoods and sights, including the colorful
La Boca district, Plaza del Mayo, La
Casa Rosada, Recoleta Cemetery, the
burial site of Eva Peron, and many others. This evening you may want to enjoy
one of the many restaurants located in
the Puerto Madero area on the riverfront. (B)
Enjoy your day at leisure. This evening,
a uniquely Brazilian experience – dinner at a local Churrascaria (barbecue)
restaurant, followed by a passionate
samba show at Plataforma 1. (B, D)
Day 4 Rio de Janeiro-Iguassu Falls
Today fly out of Rio bound for Iguassu
Falls, one of the world’s most beautiful natural spectacles. Check into
your room at the Hotel das Cataratas,
overlooking the falls inside the Brazilian
National Park. This afternoon, take the
independent walking tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. The path begins in
front of your hotel. (B)

Day 5 Iguassu Falls-Buenos Aires
The Argentine side of the falls offers a
different perspective. After checking
out of your hotel, pass over the Iguassu
River into Argentina. Walk through the
Argentine National Park to the catwalk
overlooking the Devil’s Throat, the most
breathtaking view of the falls where the
thundering water plunges 235 feet to
the river below. This afternoon, your
flight to Buenos Aires departs from the
nearby Argentine-side airport. Check
into your Buenos Aires hotel and enjoy

Head to the airport for your early flight
to the city of Manaus, in the heart of the
Amazon Jungle. Upon arrival, settle into
your comfortable room at the 5-star Tropical Hotel Manaus, on the Rio Negro just
before its confluence with the Amazon.
This afternoon on your city tour, visit the
rubber-boom era Opera House, Indian
Museum, floating docks, and busy local
market. (B)
Brasília
the “meeting of the waters,” where the
dark waters of the Rio Negro meet the
muddy waters of the Rio Solimões, forming the Amazon River. After a delicious
lunch featuring fresh local cuisine, you’ll
have a closer look at the Amazon’s fauna
and flora, exploring tiny branches of the
river via canoe, returning to your hotel by
riverboat later in the afternoon. (B, L)
Day 8 Manaus – Brasília
Today you will fly to Brasília, one of the
world’s most modern capital cities, and
check into your room at the luxurious
Blue Tree Park, adjacent to the President’s residence, the Palácio da Alvorada. (B)

This morning from your hotel’s docks,
you’ll cruise on an Amazon riverboat to

Day 9 Brasília – Salvador da Bahia
Embark on an architecturally exciting city
tour of Brasília. Points of interest include
the legislative buildings (convex and concave domes), the Presidential Palace,
the Supreme Court and the Ministries (18
identical buildings). Later this afternoon
board your flight to Brazil’s first capital
city Salvador da Bahia. Check into your
comfortable hotel room and enjoy your
private view of the Atlantic Ocean, at the

Day 10 Salvador da Bahia
Today you will tour the largest and best
preserved complex of colonial architecture in the Americas - the famous
Pelourinho district. Walk through the narrow, cobbled streets lined with fine colonial houses painted in pastel shades,
and visit several churches including the
spectacularly ornate Church of São
Ipanema Beach
Francisco, the finest example of of Baroque churches in Brazil. (B)
Day 11 Salvador da Bahia
Enjoy today at your leisure. This evening
you’ll visit the 18th century oceanside colonial mansion Solar do Unhão, where in
the former slaves quarters, you’ll dine on
Bahian cuisine, and then see a fabulous
show of Capoeira, a deadly acrobatic
martial art originating from the Bantus of
Angola. (B, D)
Day 12 Salvador – U.S.
Relax this morning, and reflect on your
long journey nearing its completion. Your
homebound overnight flight departs lateafternoon. (B)

How to make your reservation
To make your reservation, see
your travel agent or, for more

Reservations & Payment
Reservations will be confirmed
upon receipt of a $150 per person deposit. Full payment is due
at least 60 days prior to departure except for Carnival or Reveillon, where full, non-refundable
payment may be required upon
confirmation. All major credit
cards and checks are accepted.
Visas
Passengers are responsible for
acquiring valid passports and
visas. U.S. Citizens must possess a Brazilian Tourist Visa for
travel to Brazil. For Argentina, a
valid U.S. passport will suffice.
Requirements for citizens of
other countries differ. Children
of Brazilian Citizens have special
passport requirements – ask the
Brazilian Consulate for details.

Travel Documents
Documents will be issued

exceed 106 inches in combined
length, width and height. No
one dimension may exceed 62
inches.
Cancellation
Tour Deposit of $150 per person
is non-refundable. After issuance
of documents, any airline or
hotel cancellation fees become
non-refundable. Carnival, Reveillon and special events hotel
packages are non-refundable,
due to the hotel’s non-refundable
pre-payment requirements.
Otherwise, hotels will charge
one room night if cancelled less
than 72 hours prior to checkin. Unused portions of tour are
not refundable. Airfares are
subject to different rules and
cancellation fees; some may
be non-refundable. To protect
against cancellation charges, we
strongly recommend purchasing
Travel Insurance.
Travel Insurance
Discover Brazil Tours, Inc.
acts as passenger’s agent to
travel providers (airlines, hotels,
ground services). We recommend the purchase of travel
insurance to cover your travel
arrangements. Travel Guard
insurance covers trip cancellation or interruption, illness,
injury, emergency assistance
and baggage. Contact your sales
representative for more information.
Health Requirements
No immunization or health certificates are required for travel to
Brazil or Argentina from the U.S.
No high altitudes or rural areas
are visited by these tours. If
entering Brazil from Bolivia, Peru
or Ecuador, a yellow-fever certificate may be required. Contact
Brazilian Consulte for details.
Passengers should consult their
physician regarding all health
matters.
Tour Prices & Hotel
Prices are quoted in US dollars.
Hotel room grades are run-of-the
house. Hotel rooms include private bath. Printed tour prices are
based on exchange rates, tariffs
and taxes at the time of printing.
Discover Brazil Tours reserves
the right to change pricing to
reflect hotel tariffs, taxes and
exchange rates applicable at the
time of tour confirmation.
Not Included
Airport departure taxes are not
included, and are calculated at
time of ticket issuance. Also not
included are excess baggage
charges, meals other than those
specified, tips to guides, drivers
or bellboys, any item of a purely
personal nature, and any other
item not specifically mentioned
as included.
Holidays
During local or national holidays,
certain facilities such as museums and restaurants, sightseeing tours and shopping may be
limited or not available. Alternatives will be offered whenever
possible.
Air Transportation
Airfares are based on contracted
bulk or published fares in economy class service. All fares are
subject to change. Certain fares
require advance purchase or
instant purchase and are subject
to a cancellation fee once tickets
are issued. Should airline schedule changes result in a necessity
to alter the land arrangements,
the passenger must pay any additional expense.
Responsibility
The responsibility of Discover
Brazil Tours, Inc., of Miami,
Florida (hereinafter referred to
as DBT), is strictly limited. DBT
arranges with airlines, hotels,
ground transport companies
and other independent firms,
as agent, to provide passengers
with high quality travel services.
While DBT takes great care in
selecting suppliers, we do not
control them and therefore cannot be responsible for their acts
or omissions or those of their
employees, agents or representatives. DBT will not be responsible
for any act or omission, error,
delay, loss, accident or injury to
you or those traveling with you,
caused by the neglect or default
of any company or person
engaged in providing services
for which tickets or vouchers
are issued, including the service
of any hotel, restaurant, night
club, or train, vessel, carriage,
aircraft, motorcoach or any other
conveyance. Neither will DBT
be responsible for the expense,
inconvenience or injury caused
by conditions beyond its control
including, but not limited to,
hotel or airline overbooking, late
arrival or departure of conveyance, delays, strikes, defects in
vehicles, breakdown in equipment, accidents, sickness,
weather conditions, theft, terrorist acts, changes in itinerary or
schedules, or passenger’s failure
to obtain required documentation. The right is reserved to
withdraw any or all tours or to
vary itineraries and substitute
components of tour programs
should conditions warrant; also
to decline to accept or retain
any passenger as a member of
the tour. The payment of the
required deposit or partial or full
payment for a reservation on a
tour constitutes consent to all
provisions of the conditions and
general information contained
herein.
