Geelani demands detainees’
release before Eid

release of all Kashmiris detainees including Hurriyat leaders
and activists before Eid-ul-Fitr.

Srinagar, July 4: Terming the policies
of pro-India parties as a reason for
economic crisis in Jammu Kashmir,
Hurriyat Conference (M) Monday said
blaming the conglomerate for the economic instability in JK is a ploy meant
to cover the “heinous crimes” perpetuated by selling out the interests of the
people to New Delhi.
In a statement here a spokesman of the conglomerate said: “The
CM at the behest of RSS is overseeing harassment of resistance leadership although the reality was that if
Jammu Kashmir is facing economic
predicament, it is due to the forcible
control of New Delhi and pillaging of
its abundant natural resources by GoI
for which only pro-India parties are
responsible.”
“The loot of Jammu Kashmir’s
resources has brought economic
instability to the state which is a deliberate ploy to make Kashmiris dependent and the only people who were
deriving benefits from it were state’s
pro-India politicians,” he claimed.
He said, “By claiming that shutdowns are responsible for prevailing
economicmessinthestateandoverlooking the real reasons, the CM is trying to be
more loyal than the king to New Delhi.”
Wildlife casual labourers appeal CM
monthly remuneration is Rs 4500.
“We have been receiving Rs 4500
as monthly remuneration since
we were engaged. However, to
our surprise, the authorities have
been providing us with only Rs
1500 to Rs 2000 as monthly
remuneration,” they added.

today said that
Government is
committed to provide basic amenities to people in every nook and
corner of the state.
Minister was addressing a
meeting convened today to review
the functioning of departments
under his control at town hall, Dooru,
Anantnaag.
The Minister directed the concerned to provide adequate drinking
water supply to Shankerpora, Shan-
gran and Keeran villages. He also
directed PDD authorities for repairing
damaged transformers of Hargavas,
Kapran villages at the earliest which
is pending from last 20 days.
In view of Eid-ul-Fitr festival,
Andrabi directed the officers to
provide all facilities to people of
Dooru area with regard to ration,
additional sugar, flour, adequate
supply of potable drinking water
and electricity so that they do
not face any inconvenience.
He also directed the officials of
Municipal Committee, Dooru
to ensure cleanliness in all the
wards including Kabamarg,
Ziarat Ameer Kabeer road, Jamia
Masjid Verinaag and Ziarat Sultan-ul-Arifeen, Sendan.
Srinagar, July 4: Scores of activists of JK Salvation Movement Monday
held protest at Press Enclave here, demanding release of their Chairman
Zaffar Akbar Bhat and other political detainees before Eid-ul-Fitr.
The protestors raised pro-justice, pro-freedom and anti-government
slogans and slammed “forces for carrying nocturnal raids, arrest spree
and detention of pro-freedom leaders and innocent youths.”
Pandit Prem Nath Bazaz’s death
anniversary observed
New Delhi, July 4: Rich tributes were paid to Pandit Prem Nath Bazaz,
veteran Freedom Fighter, close associate of late Sheikh Abdullah and
founder President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum on his
32nd death anniversary, simultaneously at Delhi, Jammu and Srinagar.
Senior leaders of various political parties, journalists and eminent
personalities highlighted the many sided brilliance of Pandit Prem Nath
Bazaz. They described him as an initiator of political and social awakening of Kashmir, who fought for the interests of the people of Jammu and
Kashmir and upheld the traditional values of secularism and amity in the
valley.

Ahmad Mir Kralpori on Monday urged India and Pakistan to hold a dialogue to resolve Kashmir issue.
In a statement here Mi said, “From last three decades Kashmiri
people are suffering due to abnormal situation in the state. Kashmir
issue can be resolved only through dialogue. “
Amarnath Yatra: 16208 pay obeisance
Srinagar, July 4: On the 3rd day of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra-2016,
16,208 Yatris paid obeisance at the Holy Cave. Till date 39,995 Yatris had
darshan of the Ice Lingam at the cave shrine, an official spokesman said.
