Did you know…..the importance of Holy Mass?
When we come to Holy Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation, how sincerely do we participate? How respectful do we honor our Lord in the tabernacle
behind the altar before we go to sit down? Do you genuflect before the King of
Kings, and if you can’t genuflect, do you bow reverently? Our saints have revealed to us the importance of participating at holy Mass with devotion instead of
just “attending” to fulfill our Sunday obligation. Here are some of the saints’ revelations:
Bl. Pope Paul VI said that the Mass is the most perfect form of prayer.
St. Padre Pio, the stigmatic priest said, “Every holy Mass heard with devotion,
produces in our souls marvelous effects, abundant spiritual and material
graces which we ourselves do not know. It is easier for the earth to exist
without the sun than without the holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
St. John Vianney said that if we knew the value of the Mass we would die of
joy.
Revealed by our Lord to St. Gertrude the Great - Each time we look at the
Most Blessed Sacrament our place in heaven is raised forever.
Pope Benedict XV said – “The Holy Mass would be of greater profit if people
had it offered in their lifetime rather than having it celebrated for the relief
of their souls after death. (Masses can be offered for the living. For
example: for their health, their intentions, special occasions, etc.)
Once Teresa of Avila was overwhelmed with God’s Goodness and asked Our
Lord: “How can I thank you?” Our Lord replied, “ATTEND ONE MASS.”

Gdy w Niedzielę lub w Święto obowiązkowe przychodzimy na Mszę świętą, jak bardzo szczerze w Niej uczestniczymy? W jaki sposób okazujemy szacunek naszemu Panu ukrytemu w tabernakulum za ołtarzem, zanim wejdziemy do ławki, aby usiąść? Czy przyklekamy przed Królem Królów, lub gdy nie możemy przyklęknąć, kłaniamy się z
szacunkiem? Nasi święci ukazują nam znaczenie pobożnego uczestniczenia Mszy świętej, a nie jedynie „bycia obecnym” dla wypełnienia niedzielnego obowiązku.
bł. Paweł VI papież mówił, że Msza święta jest najdoskonalszą formą modlitwy.
św. Ojciec Pio, kapłan obdarzony stygmatami, mówił: „Każda Msza święta wysłuchana z pobożnością, wytwarza w naszych duszach wspaniałe skutki, bogactwo duchowych i materalnych łask, z których sobie nawet
nie zdajemy sprawy. Jest łatwiej egzystować bez słońca, niż bez Najświętszej Ofiary Eucharystycznej.
św. Jan Maria Vianney mówił, że gdybyśmy poznali do końca wartośc Mszy świętej, umarlibyśmy ze szczęścia.
św. Gertruda Wielka podczas wizji Pana Jezusa usłyszała: za każdym razem gdy patrzymy na Najświętszy Sakrament, buduje się nasze nasze miejsce w niebie
papież Benedykt XV mówił: „Msza święta byłaby większym pożytkiem dla ludzi, gdyby ofiarowywana była za
ich życia, niż celebrowana za ich uwolnienie ich dusz z czyśćca po śmierci. (Msze święte mogą być także
ofiarowane za żywych: np. o zdrowie, ze specjalnych okazji, jak urodziny czy rocznice etc)
Św. Teresa z Avila kiedyś ogarnięta Bożą dobrocią zapytała naszego Pana: „Jak ci mogę podziękować?” A Pan
Jezus odpowiedział: „uczestnicz we Mszy świętej”
Nauka religii w nowym roku szkolnym
Rozpoczęliśmy już zapisy nana lekcje religii, które zaczynają się we wrześniu. Formularze, które można pobrać ze
strony naszej szkoły: www.sisriverhead.com należy wypełnic i dostarczyć do 30 czerwca 2015 roku. Poszukujemy
także wolontariuszy do prowadzenia lekcji religii. Jeśli możecie pomóc, prosimy o kontakt z Marypat w szkolnym
sekretariacie.

Chesz zostać członkiem Kościoła Katolickiego? Być może nigdy nie przyjąłeś sakramentów wtajemniczenia Chrześcijańskiego? (chrzest, bierzmowanie, I komunia święta). Jeżeli tak, to program R.C.I.A. (Wtajemniczenie Chrześcijańskie Dorosłych) jest właśnie dla Ciebie. Już teraz fromujemy grupę osób, która rozpocznie spotkania we wrześniu. Doroczne „Chicken Barbecue”
Zarezerwujcie czas na doroczny parafialny piknik zwany „Chicken Barbecue”, który odbędzie się bez względu na
pogodę w niedzielę 26 lipca od 4 do 6 po południu. W tym tygodniu zaczynamy rozprowadzanie biletów.
Koperty:
Jeżeli otrzymujecie kopetry z naszej parafii, prosimy: używajcie ich. W ten sposób, jeśli będziecie potrzebowali do
celów podatkowych informację o wysokości złożonej ofiary na cele religijne, będziecie mogli otrzymać stosowne
zaświadczenie.

The Life Center (organiacja pomagająca samotnym matkom) desperacko potrzebuje:
