10. METHOD OF RUNNING
TOUGE BATTLE
Each battle will comprise of 2 runs:
- Run 1 will have Car A in front and Car B chasing
- Run 2 will have Car B in front and Car A chasing
- Start procedure will be similar to drift events where cars start side-by-side, then car on left proceeds
ahead into the first turn
10.1 Declaring the Winner
The winner of each Battle is declared by the following:
- If gap between Lead car and Chase car is more than 1 car length, Lead car wins.
- If gap between Lead car and Chase car is closer than 1 car length, Chase car wins.
- The decision will be made by a panel of Judges of Fact. The Judges decisions are final.
- Following the true concept of Touge, the gap of ‘1 car length’ is purely visual, and based on the
professionalism of the Judges. In races where the gaps are less than 1 car length, the professionalism
of the Judges will be called upon, and their decision is final.
- In the event of a Tie whereby Car A wins Run 1 and Car B wins Run 2, then there will be a Sudden
Death Run.
10.2 Sudden Death
There will be one additional run to decide a winner. Positions of Chase car and Lead car will be
decided by ballot or simple scissors-paper-stone game (best of 3). Based on a single run, the Winner
will be decided.
10.3 Driving Discipline
A panel of 3 Judges supplemented by the event Marshals will oversee the Battles as they take place.
The following actions are forbidden and will result in immediate disqualification and forfeit of the
refundable Discipline deposit:
- overtaking
- premeditated bumping or knocking
- premeditated brake-testing or sudden slowing down by the Lead car with the intent to disrupt the
Chase car

by the majority score of the Panel of Judges. The decision of the Judges is final. Any protest against a
decision must be accompanied by a Protest Fee of RM 100.
