7:07 Attending: Matt Biscan, Matt Fisher, Melissa Nilles, Suzanne Royer, Liz Grittner, Susan Todd, Jeff McGee, Kathy Johnson, Donna Bucci Treasurer Report – Liz Grittner We are below budget probably due to no Spring fundraiser and Falcon wear sales slightly lower than previous year. Attached below is the year to date budget. We would like to thank Liz for all of her hard work and dedication these past three years as the WN booster Club treasurer. Membership Michelle Beckerman and Deb Woods will be co-­‐chairing. Membership will still be available on line, but we seem to receive more of a response to the July mailer. This year the mailer will include a description of the committees and responsibilities in attempt to get more volunteers. Committees We are still looking for people to chair the following committees: Falcon wear – hoping for two people, Membership plaques, Membership cards, Banners, Parking (for football games), Indoor Concessions, Outdoor Concession, Second semester fundraiser, Yards Signs Thank you to Susan Todd for effort and time commitment to chairing Falcon Wear these past three years. Principal report – Matt Biscan Senior picnic was May 20th, Senior Awards was May 21, and Graduation was held on Saturday, May 23, 2015. The 2014/2015 school year is coming to an end. Last day of school for the students is Monday, June 8 – which is also a make-­‐up final exam day. Misc. discussions Try to figure out a way to get more parents involved with the Booster Club. Highlight groups that the Booster club has given support to – not just sports teams, but other groups and clubs at the school. Motion and second motion to nominate candidates for co-­‐treasurers: Kathy Johnson and Joan LaBue; and secretary: Donna Bucci, for the 2015/2016 school year. Activities Report – Melissa Nilles 1. Anglers made it to State. Falcon Anglers represented WN at the IHSA Bass Fishing
tournament on May 8-9.
2. THANK YOU for the support for the Senior Picnic. The students were so appreciative of
the gift cards that were raffled off. They had Second City perform, lunch from various local
vendors, and a picnic outside.
3. All concerts have officially wrapped up for the season. Performing Arts department had a
great year!
4. Flight has finalized their roster for next year. The program is rapidly growing.
5. Falcon Flyer added a twist to one of its last issues. They wrote the entire issue as a Satire.
What a great experience for those young writers.
6. Yearbook will finalize their yearbook. Distribution will be the first week in August.
7. Student Council is changing their format of events next year with a Featured Event of the
Month. Those will consist of Bubble Soccer, a Video Game Tournament, a Spring
PowderPuff game and more.
8. Commit to the Falcon is Tuesday, August 11th. We will have over 500 freshmen here to tour
the building, learn from older Falcons, and attend an activities and athletics fair.
