Account Number Transition Guide

As your River Valley Financial Bank accounts are
converted to German American Bank, we are prioritizing
the safety and security of your financial information.
We have found that two River Valley Checking Account
numbers you hold have duplicate Checking Account
numbers at German American Bank. For this reason, we
need to change your account numbers when they are
converted to German American accounts on
Monday, May 16th.

How we are helping you with these account number changes:
• Any checks or debit card transactions that have not posted to your current River Valley accounts
before May 16th, will post correctly to your new German American account numbers.
• On or around May 9th, you will receive a free packet of checks for each of your new German
American account numbers. Please start using these checks on Monday, May 16th.
• If you currently hold River Valley Debit Cards or ATM cards linked to these River Valley Checking
Accounts, your new German American cards will be linked to your new German American Account
numbers. You will receive your new German American cards on or around May 9th. Start using
your new cards on Monday, May 16th.
• If you have any direct deposits or reoccurring electronic payments attached to these River Valley
Checking Accounts, please update these deposits and payments occurring after May 16th to your
new German American Checking account numbers using German American’s routing number:

• When you enroll in German American’s online banking system on Monday, May 16th, your new
account numbers with German American will be available to you.
