Member of the « Most Beautiful Villages in France » group, and capital of the former

Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne: small mediaeval town built in a meander of the
Dordogne, Beaulieu's heritage is extraordinary, including the abbey church of St
Pierre, a gem of Romanesque art with a marvellous tympanum depicting the Last
Judgment and a 13th C reliquary casket in Limoges enamel.
On the banks of the Dordogne stands the Penitents' Chapel, nowadays a centre
for temporary exhibitions.

Evening tour on the little road train of Rocamadour
Clinging to the cliff face overlooking the Alzou canyon, Rocamadour defies the
laws of equilibrium ; the brown roofs of the village and the rocks are piled upon
one another forming a marvellous vertical series of houses and sanctuaries.
This evening excursion opposite the illuminated village is available every evening
from 30/03 to 30/09 for individuals and groups (start Porte du Figuier at the
entrance to the village).
