This 700-year-old capital is the symbol of the Polish nationhood and
the will to survive against great odds.
A sightseeing tour here includes a drive along the famous Royal
Route from magnificent Castle Square to Lazienki Park and Palace,
the summer residence of the last King of Poland. Pass by the Palace
of Science and Culture (known as the “wedding cake”), the Saxon
Gardens, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Monument to the Heroes of
the Warsaw Ghetto, and the Barbican. Continue with a walking tour
of the Old Town, Old Market Square, and St. John’s Cathedral. The rest
of the day is free for relaxing, shopping, going for a stroll through the

Your morning sightseeing tour features the Reichstag, the
Renaissance building that once housed Germany’s Parliament, and
the lovely Schloss Charlottenburg. The tour continues through the
city to view other famous sights such as the Opera, Schiller Theater
and Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. The afternoon is free to explore
this once divided city on your own. (B)
Day 5, Berlin to Dresden and Prague, Tuesday
Continue your journey via Dresden, the beautiful Saxony Baroque city.
On an orientation tour, view the Zwinger
Palace and Semper Opera House. Then it’s on to the Czech capital of
Prague, the “City of 100 Spires”. (B, D)
Day 6, in Prague, Wednesday
Built on seven hills more than 1000 years ago and spread over both
banks of the river Vltava, Prague is one of the most attractive cities
in Europe. Your sightseeing tour starts with panoramic drive to
famous Wenceslas Square, the Strahov Stadium and Castle Square.
Continue with a walking tour, and visit the Royal Castle of Hradcany
with Cathedral of St. Vitus, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica
and Golden Lane with the Daliborka Tower. Cross the Charles
Bridge and walk through the old quarter of Prague to view the Jewish
Ghetto, Town Hall and the world-famous Astronomical Clock. The rest
of the day is free. An optional cultural performance will be available.

independent discovery of the fabled capital of Russia. Tonight, a
briefing by your Tour Director on the fascinating tour that awaits you,

Day 2, in Moscow, Saturday

Moscow, one of the largest cities in the world, is the symbolic heart
and soul of the country. Your sightseeing tour begins at Red Square,
dominated by colorful St. Basil’s Cathedral and by the massive red
walls of the Kremlin. Visit the Armory Museum, with its impressive
collection of Tsarist, Russian, and foreign jewelry, armor, and other
artifacts. Then walk by Moscow University. Continue with a drive
along the wide boulevards and a stroll through GUM, Russia’s largest
department store. Continue, on the north bank of the River Moskva,
passing by baroque Novodevichy convent; ending the tour at the
popular Arbat shopping district, time to shop or enjoy lunch on your
own. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B)

Day 3, in Moscow, excursion to Sergiev Posad, Sunday
Today we travel 75 km North of Moscow, to a small town of Sergiev
Posad, former Zagorsk – founded in the 14th century and renowned
as a center of ancient Russian art and architecture. For centuries it
served as a place of pilgrimage and the religious capital of Russia.
Within the old walled city admire the fairy-tale golden and blue
domes of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra, one of the most
beautiful of all monasteries. After lunch at a popular restaurant,
return to Moscow, the rest of the day at leisure. This evening take an
Optional tour Moscow by night & Subway, to see the metro stations
which Stalin called “Palaces for the People.” (B, L)

There are not many cities in the world that can match the grace of
St. Petersburg. When Peter the Great founded the city in 1703, he
hired Europe’s best architects, craftsmen, and artists to build and
decorate it. Spread over 100 islands and linked by over 600 bridges,
it is often referred to as the “Venice of the North.”

sites to be visited are Palace Square with the Winter Palace, Senate
Square with the monument to Russian Emperor Peter the Great,
the founder of the city, St. Isaac’s Square with St. Isaac’s Cathedral,
Smolny Cathedral, Cruiser Aurora, Field of Mars, and Nevsky Prospect.
Visit also Peter and Paul Fortress; built in 1703 on a small island, it
was meant to protect the city from enemy attacks. Peter and Paul
Cathedral towers in the center of the fortress and is nowadays used
as the burial place for Russian Emperors. Your evening is free or
perhaps join an optional Evening Canal Cruise. (B)

This morning you’ll make a highlight visit to the world-famous
Hermitage, housing more than four million works of art. It ranks
among one of the largest and oldest museums of the world,
founded in 1764 by Catherine the Great. Admire the world-famous
masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Rafael, Titian, Rembrandt, El

Greco, Velasquez, Rubens, Van Dyck, Goya, and French Impressionists.
The Hermitage occupies five buildings, the largest is the Winter
Palace, the former residence of Russian Emperors. Spend the rest
of the day at leisure exploring the city on your own or perhaps you
may choose to take an optional tour to visit Catherine Palace & Park
in Pushkin or to Petrodvorets, Peterhof Summer Palace of Peter the
Great. Tonight join your fellow travelers in a farewell dinner. Perhaps
conclude your touring with an optional Russian Folklore evening. (B,

Arriving at Venice’s airport, you will be met and transferred to your
hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure until you gather for a Welcome
Dinner with your Tour Director and traveling companions. (D)
Day 2, in Venice, Monday
Today begins with a sightseeing tour of Venice. Start with a walking
tour in St. Mark’s Square, visiting St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s
Palace, plus view the Bell Tower and Bridge of Sighs. On to visit a
glassblowing factory, where you will watch a demonstration of
traditional Venetian glassblowing by master craftsmen. The balance
of the day is at leisure to enjoy Venice at your own pace, shop, or
perhaps join an optional gondola ride. (B)

Day 3, Venice to Ferrara, Pisa and Florence, Tuesday
Drive to Ferrara, a Renaissance gem in the Emilia-Romagna region,
standing on the banks of the Po River. After an orientation tour,
continue to Pisa where you’ll view the famous Piazza del Miracoli
with its Leaning Tower, Baptistery, and Duomo. Then on to Florence
for dinner and a free evening. (B, D)
Day 4, in Florence, Wednesday
Today’s morning city tour begins at the majestic Piazza del Duomo
to see the Cathedral crowned by Brunelleschi’s awe-inspiring Dome,
Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the Baptistery with Ghiberti’s splendid bronze
“Gates of Paradise.” Then, visit the Academy of Fine Arts, where
Michelangelo’s David is displayed. The tour ends at the Piazzale
Michelangelo with a spectacular view over Florence. The remainder
of the day is yours to savor the Renaissance splendor of the Tuscan

Your day is free in spectacular Rome! Your Tour Director will have
suggestions on how to spend your time. You might want to visit
some of the chic shops, galleries, and museums; do some more
sightseeing on your own or relax in a sidewalk cafe with a glass of fine

Guaranteed land price
Every effort is made to maintain prices as published, but fluctuating
exchange rates may necessitate price changes, the current price will
be confirmed at the time of booking, and will be guaranteed no to
increase upon receipt of deposit.
Guaranteed departures
All our departures are guaranteed, and as booking progress, we
add more guaranteed dates. If a guaranteed departure is essential
to your clients, check with us at the time of booking. We will do all
possible to assist you.
Bookings and deposit
All bookings must be made in writing. In order to get confirmation
of booking, booking form has to be filled in. All additional changes
must also be made in writing and marked clearly on the original
booking form where original booking was made.
Your booking will be confirmed immediately in most cases. A deposit
of $200 per person must be received within 7 days of reservations,
at which Time an invoice will be issued showing deposit received.
The balance is due 30 days prior to tour departure. If deposit is not
received, the booking will be assumed canceled. For late bookings
(less Than 30 days prior to departure), full payment is required at
the time of booking.
Delayed arrival
Since we are land operator and do not provide airfare tickets we do
not cover any refunds for missed flights and subsequently late start/
no start of the tour. All additional costs have to be settled on the
spot by passengers. We recommend that in case of delay client’s call
at the emergency phone that is the travel documents
Health requirements
Tour participants should check with the consulates and local health
boards for the latest health requirements. No medical expenses will
be covered for illnesses that occur prior to arrival or on the tour.
Special needs travelers
Any disability requiring special attention must be reported at the
time of booking. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate
the special needs of disabled participants; however we are not
responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants,
motor coaches, mini buses, vans and cars are note quipped with
wheelchair ramps. We cannot provide individual assistance to a tour
member for walking, dining, getting on/off transportation vehicles,
or other personal needs.
Travelers who need assistance must be accompanied by a qualified
and physically able companion.
Young tour participants
Tour participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Program prices
Program prices are per person, based on two persons sharing a
room. Single room supplements and triple room reductions are
listed where applicable.
Transfers are provided complementary from airports, harbors, etc
to hotels and vice versa by motor coach or private car only on first
and last day as per itinerary under condition that accurate transfer
information is provided.
Accommodation
The hotels classified in Kompas brochure are based on local
classifications, which vary from country to country. Hotels listed
in this brochure will be used on almost all departures. If changes
become necessary for any reason, substitute hotels will be similar
to those in the brochure. While every effort is made to reserve twin
bedded rooms, it may happen that a hotel provides some double
bedded rooms instead. If such thing happens, double bedded rooms
will be allocated to couples triple share rooms are generally based
on an extra rollaway bed, which is not always suitable for adults.
Please note that standard policy is that hotel rooms are available for
check in after 13:00. Early check in needs to be advised in advance.
Also please note that Kompas cannot guarantee that early check in
will be free of charge, since the standard policy is that early check in
requires a pre night to be booked and paid for.
Local holidays
During national holidays certain facilities (museums, restaurants,
sightseeing tours and shopping) may be limited or unavailable.
Alternatives will be offered whenever possible.
Luggage
Porterage for one suitcase included in program price. No
responsibility is accepted for loss or damage to baggage or
passenger belongings.
Lost luggage
All lost luggage on connecting flights are not responsibility of land
operator. We do not guarantee that the luggage will be found
and delivered to assigned hotel. We will provide assistance on the
spot (through our tour director and local offices) that will help the
passenger communicate with air company.
Travel documents
No responsibility is accepted for loss of or damage to travel
documents or any of passenger’s belongings.
Passports and visas
A valid passport is required of all tour participants. All passengers
regardless of the passport they hold should check with the
appropriate consulates to determine is any visas are needed.
Securing any needed visas is the responsibility of the tour
participant
Refunds for unused services
• no refunds will be made for unused services once travel
arrangements have commenced, especially in the cases where
passengers are unable to travel due to invalid travel documents
(passports, visas), unused portion of services which are included in
tour price and program, unused transfer services.
• Arrival transfer: in case client cannot find the arrival transfer/
driver at the airport they have to call contact number in the travel
documents
• Any complaint while traveling should be made immediately to
local representatives (hotel management, tour director…). All
complaints will be accepted in written latest 1 month after the
tour finishes. After this date no complaint will be accepted.
Changes to itineraries
If necessary for any reason beyond Kompas control, Kompas can
amend or cancel any of the arrangements for particular itinerary.
Should insufficient numbers book the tour Kompas can close the
departure.
Cancellation policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.
The following scale of charges will apply when notice of
cancellation of the passenger is given after the booking is confirmed:

Overbooking
Kompas reserves the right to change or modify a reservation in
case of circumstances caused by conditions beyond its control that
cannot be predicted, avoided or rectified. Booked accommodation
can be substituted only by an accommodation unit of the same or
higher category and at the price confirmed during booking, provided
that customer is notified ahead of time.
Group booking on schedule tours
The most efficient, economical and profitable way to operate your
group Tour is to book into one of our schedule departures. Our
buying power will immediately be to your benefit, and our itineraries
are tested and proven to be the best combination of Touring, city
stays and leisure Time. Our escorts are the best and have worked
with us for many years. Our motor coaches are the finest. Kompas
will block space for your group on our published itineraries, subject
to availability. With less than 30 paying passengers, your group
will travel with other Kompas passengers. With 30 or more paying
passengers, you may have the exclusive use of the motor coach
and tour conductor. If you have planned for exclusive use and the
number of passengers falls below the minimum of 30 passengers
required, Kompas reserves the right to book additional passengers
to the party.
At the Time of booking, a fully refundable deposit of $1.000 for
exclusive use or $500 for non-exclusive use is required. Additional
deposits of $100 per person are required, as each member is booked.
The first review date is 90 days prior to departure. At 60 days
prior to departure, any space not under deposit will revert back to
Kompas.
The rooming list due date is approximately 60 days prior to
departure. This is the latest date space may be released without
forfeiture of deposit. It is extremely important that on or before
the rooming list due date you contact us and advise the names
of passengers booked to date. If all space has not been sold, your
options will be as follows:
a) Provide us with names and continue to book on space available
basis.
b) Provide us with the names booked to date.
If you wish to hold unsold space, at your own risk you decide on the
total number of seats you expect to fill. We will hold this space for
you on receipt of your guarantee of $200 per seat for any unsold
seats. This is non-refundable.
Final payment is due 30 days prior to departure.
Kompas provides 1 free in Twin accommodations for each 20 paying
passengers.
Tour Escort
If your own tour escort accompanies the group, it should be
understood that The Kompas escort is in complete charge for that
portion of the trip operated by Kompas. He/she will most happily
work and confer with your tour escort, but announcements to
the group and decision making must be left to the Kompas tour
escort. Please understand that this cooperation is necessary only to
avoid conflicting information given to tour members, which could
interfere with the tour. It should also be noted that the Kompas Tour
escort couldn’t make alterations or deviations to the itinerary at the
request of your group escort.
