Dear Property Owners/Business Owners/Residents/Tenants,
This notice is to inform you that the City of Campbell has contracted with Perma-Green Hydroseeding
Inc. to construct the Stojanovich Family Park Project. The park design was based on a park
development process involving the public that took place during 2009 and 2010. The approved Final
Conceptual Design can be viewed on-line at www.cityofcampbell.com/SFP. The construction for the
Stojanovich Family Park Project includes:
•
•
•
•
Incorporation of historical aspects: Some existing site materials will be reused and
integrated into the site, as well as the construction of features that speak to the agrarian
history of the site.
Landscaping: Extensive landscaping will be installed that will include turf, shrubs and trees
throughout the site including the installation of pedestrian pathways.
Interpretive play elements and play features: These elements will include an oversized
can of fruit, a spring board drying rack, large tractor tires, a play structure and swings.
Public Art: As part of the public art component of the project, a public art piece (bronze
sculpture) will also be installed at the park site.
In addition to the above construction work, the project will also include an enhanced Union Avenue
pedestrian crossing that will involve roadway excavation and paving in addition to utility work related
to the site. This work will require some extended lane closures on Union Avenue and traffic delays
may be experienced. Every effort will be made to keep traffic delays to a minimum.
Construction is expected to begin at the end of June 2011 and last for approximately 6 months. The
hours of work will be between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
If you have any questions regarding this work please contact Mitch Chuck with Perma-Green
