MANSO PROJECT
This is the construction and startup of the Manso Project, located
in the Department of Caldas, near
the municipalities of Samacá and
Norcasia, on the eastern slope of the
Central mountain range. Its purpose
is to transfer –through a tunnel– part
of the water of the Manso River up
to the Amaní reservoir of the Central
Hidroeléctrica MielI. For its start-up, it
was necessary to build 5,500 meters
of access roads (new), a hydraulic
concrete dam on the Manso River, with
an approximate height of 6.5 meters
and a length of 35 meters; a collection
structure and the management of
the ecological flow, a transfer tunnel
(length: 4 kilometers - diameter: 3.9
meters), as well as the discharge
structure and access roads to the
project with an approximate length of
11 meters.

METROCALI MAIN AXIS ROUTE
This is the construction of exclusive routes for the MÍO, Integrated Massive
Transportation System of Cali that, with a length of 5.6 kilometers, connects
the center of the municipality with the center of the Aguablanca district,
one of the most marginal areas of the city, thus becoming an important
integration alternative. It has two single-bus lanes (one in each direction),
two mixed-traffic lanes (one per direction in the first stage), and four mixed
traffic lanes (two in each direction for the second stage), plus eight stations
and over 89,000 square meters of remodeled public space, with a bike path

the EAFIT University; to the western
side, it is near the old Haceb plant. It
is the largest inner urban bridge of
the country: its length is 450 meters
and its width is 40.5 meters. It has
eight lanes; one of them is solely
for pedestrians and for cyclists. This
bridge, known as the ‘Puente de la 4

(El Poblado) and the southwestern area
(Guayabal) of Medellín. It is of great
help for traffic purposes in an area
known for its traffic jams.

This public-service port for coal export operates with a direct
loading system at Ciénaga, Magdalena; it belongs to one of
the economic sectors Conconcreto has explored in recent
years. It has an export capacity of, approximately, 22 million
tons per year. The destinations of the coal are North America,
Europe and Asia. The project included the design of a concrete
structure and foundations for the equipment, as well as the
construction of facilities to house them. It also included the
design and construction of offices and cafeterias, as well as
civil works (support and urbanism).

CUSIANA HIGHWAY
TRANSVERSE CORRIDOR
This includes the construction of 15
bridges with different construction
systems for a total of 2,100 meters.
This project is part of the competitiveness highway corridors promoted
by the national government; it includes the stabilization and recovery
of 13 kilometers of the road. This is
very important for the area of the
eastern plains and of the flatlands of
Cundinamarca and Boyacá since this
corridor allows the transportation of
a lot of machinery for the oil industry,
as well as agricultural and cattlerelated products. Conconcreto must
conduct all the studies and carry out
the design, as well as the social, land,
environmental and improvement
management of the project.

CUCUANA HYDROELECTRIC PLANT
This project is under the responsibility of the Hidrocucuana
consortium including Conconcreto S.A and EstymaS.A. Its
aim is the execution of the civil works for the construction
of the Cucuana hydroelectric plant in Roncesvalles, Tolima.
It has 55MW installed power, three tunnels (length:4,470
meters), two collection sites, a metallic siphon, concrete
for the union between the second and the third tunnel, an
engine room, and a discharge channel.
The program for Complementary and Competitiveness Highway
Corridors from Invías is aimed at consolidating an articulate and
efficient transportation network that, with adequate service
and capacity levels, facilitates the transportation of passengers,
the connection of the production centers with consumption
centers, as well as with the highway corridors for foreign trade,
thus contributing to the achievement of higher competitiveness
and productivity in the country. This particular corridor is being
developed by the CC - MP - HV Palmeras consortium, including
Conconcreto, Constructora MP and Horacio Vega. They are in
charge of the studies and designs, the social, land, environmental and improvement management of the Las Palmeras Highway
Corridor. The corridor includes the improvement and construction of 40.7 kilometers of the road between Fuente de Oro and
San José del Guaviare. 18 kilometers have a flexible structure
and 16 kilometers using rigid pavement, plus a 30-meter-long
bridge and the reinforcement of an existing bridge.

the construction of the access channel and the swing basin,
the structural design, the engineering for details as well as
the construction of the viaduct, the platform and the dock for
the Puerto Brisa project. It is designed for the loading of oil
and coal. It will have a dock with a length of 360 meters by

of the country and of the Caribbean coast.
This is a key project for the promotion

Currently, Conconcreto takes part in the
construction of sector 1 of this project,
with over 78 kilometers of divided
highway, with design speeds of 80 and

PLANTA MOLIENDA CLINKER
Another important project
of Conconcreto, derived from
its internationalization process,
particularly for the first industrial project in the Dominican
Republic, where the first travelling forms were made abroad,
as well as the first large-diameter travelling-form silo (40
meters - height: 29 meters), with
a storage capacity of 50,000
tons. It includes the construction of a plant for cement
production (70 tons per hour).
The first stage includes a Clinker
silo, a tunnel system for the
transportation and extraction
of materials, conveyor belts,
additive-dispenser hoppers,
a vertical mill, filters, cement
silos, cement packing, additive
facilities, a natural gas pump
station, a compressor room, a
cooling lagoon, a wastewater
treatment plant, weighing scales
and electricity substations.
With the purpose of providing the region and the
country with a clean and renewable source of energy,
Hidroecológica de Teribe S. A. promotes the Bonyic
Hydroelectric Project, located in the northwestern
region of the Republic of Panama, at the Bocas del
Toro province, district of Changuinola, in an area
where the topography and the high rainfall level
make the production of electricity possible thanks to
the natural, clean and renewable resources. Bonyicis
part of the expansion plan of the Panamanian electric
system. It is part of the project portfolio for the clean
development of the country. It will help the country
to diminish its dependence on imported oil and other
fossil fuels that are highly contaminating. It has a
dam with a height of 30 meters and a length of 166
meters (crest) and a reservoir of 900,000 cubic feet.
It is expected to generate an annual average of 125
GWH of firm energy. Bonyic has tested Conconcreto’s
management skills under complex situations with
challenges as the participation of members of the
nasoteribe indigenous community who have
contributed with their labor.

innovative construction systems in the country as the mixed structure; in other words,
a metallic structure and a concrete structure (with the participation of the company
Impac, the use of Eifs walls systems on the facade, which results in a cleaner, faster
and more efficient construction project. This project was executed in Bogotá, on a
plot of land (9,210 square meters) and the area built is 8,191.76 square meters. This
Built-up area corresponds to five floors and an underground parking area. The offices,
the services for the administration of U-Storage and commercial spaces are located on
the first floor. The use of the building is the rental of mini storage units with an area of

This project is located in Soledad, Atlántico. It has a

Luckily, two of the suppliers of the project were the
companies Agregados y Prefabricados del Norte and
Sistemas Constructivos Avanzados - Durapanel; both

The project, jointly developed with Éxito, includes the
