General Information
Customer Qualifications :
To establish an open account with The Palmetto Group , you must operate a full-time business with regular hours ; have a retail tax number,
and business license.
TERMS : Payment is due at time of Pick-up or Delivery.
Credit can be established by completing our credit application , listing 3 trade references , and the name and address of your bank. Allow
four weeks for processing. Palmetto's open account terms are Net 10 days from date of invoice (not statement date). We will not ship or
deliver to overdue accounts. A finance charge of 1.5% per month will be added to all past due amounts. We are unable to waive finance
charges on delinquent accounts. There will be a $25.00 service charge for all returned checks.
All other accounts are COD. We accept Visa & Mastercard , American Express and Discover.
Ordering Information :
Our order desk is open from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Thursday and 8:30am to 2:00pm on Fridays. When ordering , please give
your company name and city , and how you want your order shipped. For your convenience , we also have a 24 hour fax line available at all
locations..
All delivery orders should be placed by 3PM the day prior to the delivery. All UPS orders placed by 1PM WILL be shipped that same day. UPS
orders placed after 2PM MAY be shipped that same day.
ALL matboard orders for pick up should be placed at least one hour prior to your arrival. Allow additional time for chopped frames. We
require a minimum of 48 hrs turn time on all Chop & Join frames. Pick up orders have priority. This will enable us to serve you better. We are
wholesalers. All orders less than $10.00 will be charged a $1.00 service charge.
Shipping Information:
A full box of matboard is 20 to 25 sheets. We will ship any smaller amount but we must fill the box with foamboard , corrugated or flaw board.
Length moulding (wood or metal) can be shipped by UPS if cut 5x5, 4x6, or 7x3.
Chops or Joined Frames:
Frame sizes are based on the exact size of the piece to be framed. We will make an 1/8" size allowance. If you want an exact fit (no allowances), use the word "exact" after giving your frame size.
Liner frames should be ordered to fit the picture, then order the outside frame "to fit" the liner. We will cut the frame to fit the liner.
Metal chops do not come with hardware. Please make sure to order the hardware you require.
Call for quote on quantity frame orders. This applies to orders with frames of the same size & moulding. A minimum of 48 hrs minimum is
required for most chop & join frames.
Deliveries: The Minimum delivery fee is $5.00. Fees vary based on location and size of order.
Deliveries are available in most areas. Please call our office concerning your area. A delivery charge will be applied to all deliveries .
Deliveries are made only to customers with CURRENT accounts and a minimum order of approximately $150.00 or 3 cases of glass
is required. ALL DELIVERIES NOT OVER $150.00 WILL BE CHARGED A $15.00 DELIVERY FEE TO HELP OFFSET OPERATING COST. All glass orders will be full cases only. All oversized mats and foamboard will be boxed if possible or packed between
two pieces of corrugated and an additional charge of $3.00 will be added if corrugated is used.
Claims/Returns:
All merchandise is carefully packed before leaving our warehouse. We are sorry but The Palmetto Group cannot assume ANY
liability for UPS damage. If you receive a damaged shipment please refuse that shipment. If the shipment was left, call UPS
for pickup and claim. We will only accept merchandise for return if there was an error in filling the order or the merchandise is
defective. Return merchandise can not be accepted after 30 days.Any matboards credits will only be applied if the WHOLE sheet of
matboard is returned.. Returns are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee. ALL CREDITS MUST COME FROM OUR COLUMBIA OFFICE..
Corner Program
We will be happy to provide corner samples on request depending on the availability of that particular moulding. Corner sample
charges will be based on length price of each moulding. Please allow 1-2 weeks for corner requests. A shipping & handling charge
will be added for any samples or catalogs sent UPS.
