Wheatland Tube uses the latest technology in the
manufacturing of our ERW tubing. We produce
precisely-welded tubing in sizes ranging from
.675” OD to 6.625” OD, with wall thicknesses from
.065” to .440”.

We continue to upgrade our facilities. At our ERW
plant, our most recent investment was a $5.5 million
annealing furnace, capable of processing 20,000
pounds per hour.

Our as-welded tubing provides exceptional weld
quality, a wide range of sizes, superior tolerances,
and a variety of carbon steel and alloy grades.
It is an excellent choice for your A513 Type 1 or
A500/B-C needs.
Our ERW tubing is processed at our Niles, Ohio facility.
An uncoiled steel strip enters the mill, is formed by a
series of rolls into an open seam round, then passes
through a high frequency induction coil, which heats
the edges. Compressing rolls force the molten edges
together to produce an uninterrupted electricresistance weld. The welded hollow then passes
through NDT testing and final sizing rolls before it is
cut-to-length.
