Proven Design – The Jacobsen® cutting system was designed from the ground up for perfect geometry and superior turf
conditions. The inter-play between the frame, reels, bedknives, pull points, rake to blade angles and many other features are
the reason why Jacobsen® is number one in quality of cut in the market.
Advanced Relief Technology™ – Jacobsen® Classic XP™ Reels now feature Advanced Relief Technology™ that provides
increased durability, reduced wear and extended life. The relief angle of 45 degrees and the improved face angle of the blade
help to significantly extend the life of the blade and optimize it for less wear and abrasion. The Jacobsen grinding process
yields the best blade surface and delivers up to three times more spin grinds than generic aftermarket blades.
Precision Engineering and Tuning – Jacobsen® Classic XP™ Reels also feature the ultimate standard in precision with
tighter tolerances through flatness and run-out (concentricity). The runout defines the reels’ ability to stay true and maintain
consistent rotation within its center point. Jacobsen holds the tightest and most consistent specification for run-out.

best quality-of-cut. Changing the blade to meet your demand is easy and convenient with the MAGSystem. The newest
MAGSystem offers a stronger, more consistent hold on the blade and improved alignment of the MAGKnife™. Replacing
or swapping out knives is quick and easy whether you are top dressing, preparing for big event or simply short on time. Our
new trivalent coating offers increased resistance to rust and corrosion and an increased number of more powerful magnets

Front Rollers
The conditions at your course may be completely different than a course 15 minutes down the road and can change
throughout the year; that’s why Jacobsen offers a complete variety of rollers to get the cutting performance and ground
following you desire. There are several types of rollers to choose from depending on the application, including the segmented
roller with 3 segments to assist in you clean-up cut around the green.
Solid Tubes: Available in light or heavy versions; both are less aggressive than grooved rollers making them ideal for use on
turf under stress. They are better than full-length grooved rollers for tight turns on cleanup passes because solid rollers slide
across the turf. The heavier roller is slightly more aggressive. Rollers feature a scraper to prevent debris buildup.
Grooved Assembly Steel Disc: Wide spacing between the discs makes these rollers the most aggressive; recommended
for straight-line mowing only.
Grooved Segmented Machined Aluminum: This grooved machined aluminum system features three segments. These
segments can rotate at different speeds, making tight turns on greens easier when doing cleanup passes.
Grooved Machined Steel: Provides the performance advantages of the grooved aluminum roller, however, the steel is
heavier which results in an even more aggressive cut.
Grooved Machined Aluminum: Grooves in the roller allow the cutting unit to sit further down into the turf for a more
aggressive cut and improved straight-line tracking.

Turf Groomers™
Well groomed turf provides a firmer and faster playing surface that is “more-true” from green to green. Grooming
stimulates new growth from the crown of the plant, encouraging vertical growth that enables better photosynthesis
and better penetration of water and fertilizer. With correct and consistent grooming, your golfers will take notice of
improved greens conditions. Jacobsen’s unique intersecting grooming blade with a specially designed non-aggressive
grooming roller, ensures the best grooming results. By intersecting the groomer blades with the front roller, the roller
base between front and back is minimized, reducing the chance of scalping on severely undulating greens compared
to competitors. Regular turf grooming will actually reduce the need to verticut.

Verticut™
For those times in the spring and fall when you need to remove excess thatch and stolon growth, you will find the
Jacobsen® Verticut™ attachment to be the right tool. It is designed to cut into or at the soil surface to remove thatch
and plant materials. Doing so allows water, oxygen and nutrients to penetrate the root zone.

Spiker
Spiking greens improves air and nutrient flow to the root zone without time consuming aeration. The spiker assembly is a
non-powered vertical blade set that penetrates the turf and soil surface to lightly aerate with minimal disruption to the playing
surface. The spiker should be used on a regular basis. The spiker, like the Quick Roll™, is extremely easy to take on and off.

What is Turf Grooming?
Why Choose Jacobsen Groomers?
In a nutshell, the reel and grooming cutting system is
a proactive, three-dimensional mowing process which
provides less thatch, thicker and healthier turf and
better playability.
The Jacobsen Turf Groomer® is available for walking
greens mowers, riding greens mowers, and fairway
mowers. It also comes in two blade spacings:
• .250” – just right for most greens.
• .500” – use for light grooming; near sand traps
(where larger grain sand is used); and for no-clog
performance in taller grass (such as fairways).

Jacobsen not only launched the first Turf Groomer® but also developed the intersection of the groomer blades with the grooved roller, which maximizes grooming
results while reducing the need for more invasive verticutting and aerification.
- The Turf Groomer’s roller base is shorter than
