Carlton Peel Professional Microderm-abrasion
works using a controlled flow of ultra clean
aluminium oxide crystals set in motion by
vacuum created low pressure. The crystals
are applied to the skin with a special
handpiece which allows the controlled and
gentle removal of the dead cells from the
Stratum Corneum of the Epidermis. The same
handpiece removes the used crystals and
skin particles in a single process and deposits
them in a separate container. Being
absolutely inert there is no risk of crystal
related side effects. The flow of crystals and
the depth of peeling is perfectly controllable.

ThermaVisage RF8 is a revolutionary
treatment that can be used to lift, tighten
and tone the contours of the face and neck.
It can also be used on the body to firm and to

It combines RF technology, with Vacuum
Suction and Chromatherapy to give the

RF stands for Radio Frequency. By applying
RF energy to the skin, any resistance
encountered will produce heat.
The ThermaVisage RF8 operates on a
MULTIPOLAR radio frequency, where
oscillations occur between positive and
negative. The molecules within our cells try to
line up with the polarity each time it changes.
When molecules move back and forth a
million times every second, they generate
friction between themselves, and therefore
heat.
Heat penetrates into the dermis deeply until it
reaches the surface of the muscular fascia,
where it obtains a lifting effect. This generates
an accelerated collagen production, and
contraction of collagen fibres to restructure

Ultraderm, the very popular combination of
high frequency and galvanic treatment, is
contained in one neat and functional unit
that is supplied complete with full accessories
for facial therapy treatment. The Ultraderm
has totally independent controls for each of
its functions and is fitted with an LCD display
to monitor the galvanic current, together with
a polarity changeover switch.
This neat attractive unit is designed for deep
cleansing of the skin – DESINCRUSTATION or
for the introduction of active substances for
specific treatments – IONTOPHORESIS. The
CARLTON facial galvanic has an intensity
control linked to an LCD display indicating
the amount of galvanic current produced.
A professional electronic unit for the beauty
salon supplied with five popular electrodes
fitted into the specially constructed white
powder-coated casing. The sophisticated
CARLTON high frequency current changes up
to 200,000 times per second and the circuitry
intensifies the mains voltage up to 150,000
volts with only minimal amperage, giving
tremendous benefit to the client.
A variable speed rotary cleansing system with
brushes to slough off the dead cells and to
remove grime and dirt clinging to the surface
of the skin. The micro-brush system features an
accurate electronic speed control for
different skin types and has a sophisticated
micro-motor that will not stop under pressure
even at very slow speeds. Rotating on the skin
at several hundred R.P.M. the soft brushes
create excellent massage. They cleanse the
skin and stimulate whilst giving a light
exfoliation.

The primary action of this current is thermal,
or to produce heat. Because of its rapid
oscillation there are no muscular contractions

This robust vacuum therapy unit has a
specially designed needle valve to give the
operator full control over the strength of
vacuum. Such a fine intensity control and
clearly marked gauge make this unit ideally
suited to either facial or body treatment.
Vacupulse is a complete, regulated, air
system incorporating constant vacuum
suction and an infinitely variable pulsating
action. The specification of the powerful
vacuum motor provides for either facial or
body treatment in either mode. The power is
varied through a precision needle valve with
very fine control which is linked to an
accurate vacuum gauge on the front of the
unit. A changeover switch determines
whether the unit produces a constant
vacuum or a pulsating action. When
‘Vacupulse’ is selected both the frequency
and the pulse width can be individually
adjusted enabling the therapist to carry out a
vast range of treatments. This unit has twin
tubing for Vacupulse so that a pulsing
massage can be performed through pairs of
pneumo-lifting cups. This treatment is very
beneficial to lined or wrinkled skin as it will
activate the blood circulation and draw
moisture to the surface of the skin.
CARLTON germicidal cabinets provide a safe
and convenient means of sanitising all small
instruments and utensils, particularly high
frequency and vacuum suction glassware,
galvanic electrodes, make-up sponges etc.
Totally effective sterilisation is now more
important than ever with the increasing
in - cidence of hepatitis B positive and
AIDS clients and the inherent risk of cross
infection. This unit operates at a
temperature in excess of 300°C which means
that forceps or tweezers inserted into the
heated glass beads will be sterilised within
one minute. The Epiltherm has an indicator
light to show when sterilising temperature has
been reached.

Sanitisation is carried out by short wave
ultraviolet radiation of 2537å generated by a
G8T5-8 watt germicidal tube. No chemicals
are required and no heat is created. This type
of germicidal tube produces U.V. radiation
that is very damaging to the eyes and
therefore these units are manufactured with
a safety microswitch to extinguish the lamp
immediately the door is opened.
With the CARLTON 2537å germicidal lamp,
inactivation of bacteria of public health
significance will be achieved within 10
minutes.

The above act provides that any premises
used for epilation, and all electrologists must
provide proper means of sterilisation of the
equipment used. Whilst it is obviously
recommended to use disposable needles, a
high speed steriliser will be found to be of
tremendous benefit as it provides a means of

The CARLTON electronic epilation unit
operates at a higher frequency than basic
units enabling the operator to perform
successful epilation with much less discomfort
to the client and consequently obtain far
more satisfactory results.

presents

ULTRABLEND combining two effective
methods of hair removal that simultaneously
increase the success of the treatment.
D.C. – Galvanism produces lye (NaOH) at the
negative pole, in this case the needle, to
chemically destroy the dermal papilla. This is
a very slow method but the success rate is
high.
As with other CARLTON units the casing has
been constructed to hold the accessories
that are supplied.
R.F. – Diathermy destroys the papilla by
electro coagulation quickly and effectively.

To facilitate a full treatment programme the
CARLTON ULTRABLEND has a stainless steel
phoresis twin ball electrode to initially prepare
the follicle for ease of insertion – Anaphoresis
(-) and finally, at the end of the treatment, to
soothe the nerve endings and reduce
erythema – Cataphoresis (+).
Ultrablend units are available with either a
footswitch and a plain needle holder or a
switched needle holder.

A totally transistorised passive muscle
exerciser with 10 outlets feeding 20 electrode
pads. Each outlet has an individual intensity
control. The CARLTON Faradic has an
advanced specification allowing the
operator to not only select the duration of
each contraction and relaxation, the
frequency and the intensity but also to vary
the pulse width giving far greater
performance and a higher level of client
comfort. The operator can select from four
pulse sequences giving either positive or
mixed contractions on a regular or
intermittent basis. Being fitted with a digital
countdown timer also allows the therapist to
see easily the duration of treatment time left.
To ensure complete safety and comfort the
CARLTON Faradic has a reset button which
prevents its use unless all controls have first
been set to zero. This reset circuit is also
connected to a remote control client alarm
to switch off the apparatus and sound a
buzzer.
The CARLTON Professional Body Galvanic is a
comprehensive multi-outlet unit for all
professional treatments. It has four
independent outlets each with a digital
readout monitor.

having
specially
manufactured triple sponge pouch covers to
eliminate any risk of galvanic allergy. Also
supplied with all connection leads and a set
