Whipstock Mills
HPOGC whipstock mills used in sidetracking have API IF connections
and are dressed with crushed tungsten carbide particles and tungsten
carbide Viper inserts for fast cutting of all grades of casings.
Design Advantages & Benefits:
In combination with the hook up to the whipface the unique shear screw
system allows the mills / BHA to pivot in relation to the whipstock,
allowing added strength for torsional or tensile loads while running, thus
preventing premature shearing of the bolt.
Other features include:

The innovative design of lead mill assures
reliable hook up and flexible installation. The
spherical shape enhances uniform transition
of mill traveling from inside of the casing
through the critical “midpoint” to outside
without fail or problems.

The window mill houses the shear dome;
these are of the highest quality with a high
degree of reliability.

HPOGC Whipstock mills have provided
“in-gauge” windows on every run with little or
no wear on the mills.

Dual casings’ exit is not a difficult task for
HPOGC Whipstock mills.

Available in one piece bi-mill or tri-mill
system.

Integral blade design requires no stubbing or
welding on mill bodies.

Dressed with Viper inserts and Tungsten
Carbide for strength, optimum milling
performance with maximum milling life.

SPEEDY® Tri-Mill
SPEEDY® Tri-Mill, the 9th generation of HPOGC whipstock
milling tools, is the creature of dynamic thoughts of HPOGC
engineering department whom utilizing the resultants of Window
Opening Job Reports done by HPOGC Field Operations Team,
researching on developing edges of optimization using
advanced CAD/CAE and mechanical engineering software and
finally, improving former generations of milling tools.
