if you find that your passion has not been represented,
we encourage you to start a group of your own! As
pioneers in a university that is growing, take the initiative
to spearhead community efforts and lead your fellow
peers into uncharted waters.
Our professors have a wealth of knowledge and

CO-CURRICULAR ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMES &
RECORD OF ACHIEVEMENT
The Value-Added Programme (VAP) aims to broaden students’ learning, on top of what
is offered in their degree curriculum, to further prepare them for the working world. The
VAP comprises a wide range of short courses and workshops that are carefully planned
to meet students’ interests as well as help diversify their skills and knowledge. They can
be grouped into four categories: Knowledge Upgrade, Language and Culture, Careers
Headstart or Hobbies and Leisure. VAP classes also offer opportunities for fellow SIT
students from the various degree programmes to learn and work together during
semester or trimester breaks, helping to further enrich their campus life.

RECORD OF
ACHIEVEMENT
The Record of Achievement (ROA) is a testimony of each student’s significant
achievements, contributions and participation in events.
The ROA captures students’ learning beyond their academic studies and complements
the academic transcript that graduates will submit for employment or other applications.
The ROA also highlights the leadership roles that graduates have taken up as well as
contributions made to SIT and/or to the community. This also includes participation and
completion of the Overseas Immersion Programme, Overseas Exposure Programme or other
courses offered under the Value-Added Programmes, scholarships and awards received.
Students who represent the university in competitions, institutional events or win awards, prizes
and achieve recognition for the university will have their contributions recorded in the ROA.

NOTES ON
PAYMENT
OF FEES
a. Students who do not sign the Tuition Grant (TG) agreement or who are not eligible
for the TG will have to pay non-subsidised tuition fees.
b. Fees (tuition fees and compulsory miscellaneous fees) are payable by students on a

applicable for AY2014 regardless of the outcome of the 2nd application.
d. If fees are not paid, or are only partially paid by the due date indicated in the bill,
a late payment fee will be stipulated. The current late payment fee is charged at
S$50. For students whose fees remain in arrears, SIT reserves the right to take
further action if deemed necessary.

The Tuition Grant Scheme was introduced by the Government to subsidise the high
cost of tertiary education in Singapore. SIT students who are awarded the Tuition
Grant will pay the subsidised tuition fees as shown on the Tuition Fees page.
Who is eligible to apply?
The Tuition Grant is extended to SIT students who are Singapore Citizens (SC) and
Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR). For International students (IS), only those from
AY2015 cohort onwards are eligible to apply.
SC/SPR/IS students who had received Tuition Grant for studies of degree programmes
from NUS, NTU, SIT, SMU, SUTD, UniSIM, LASALLE or NAFA, will be eligible for
Tuition Grant up to normal programme duration at SIT less the number of semesters/
trimesters of Tuition Grant received at their previous university.
Students who had fully utilised their Tuition Grant for studies for degree programmes at
the above mentioned will have to pay non-subsidised fees for their entire programme
at SIT.
Tuition Grant service obligation
Only SPR and IS students are required to sign a Tuition Grant Agreement and are
required to work for a Singapore-based company for a period of three years upon
graduation.
There is no service obligation for SC students.
Note: SPR and IS students who do not sign the Tuition Grant Agreement will pay nonsubsidised fees.
How to apply?
Application for Tuition Grant is done during matriculation.
a. SC students
SC students are required to download and complete the “Declaration For Tuition
Grant Eligibility” Form from the Student Portal ( Matriculation > MOE Tuition Grant).
The completed signed form is to be uploaded to the Student Portal by 30 June 2016.

The CPF Education Scheme is a loan scheme which enables members to use CPF savings from their Ordinary Account
to pay for their children’s, spouses’ or their own tuition fees. The CPF Board will only consider the use of CPF savings
of siblings or relatives on a case-by-case basis. Students have to repay the amount withdrawn plus interest, in cash,
subsequently into the payer’s Ordinary Account. Repayment commences one year after students graduate or leave
the tertiary institution.
This scheme covers full-time subsidised programmes at approved local educational institutions and is for the
payment of MOE-subsidised tuition fees only, i.e. CPF savings cannot be used for tuition fees in the 1st or 2nd
extended year of candidature (beyond normal candidature) and/or any semester/trimester where the tuition
fees are not subsidised by MOE. This scheme does not cover miscellaneous or other fees.

OUR SIT
BUILDINGS
SIT adopts a distributed campus model, with an SIT building situated within the
grounds of each of the five local polytechnics. Each SIT@Poly Building houses SIT’s
overseas university partners, who offer their degree programmes. This model allows
for greater synergy and efficiency by giving SIT students greater access to existing
resources within each polytechnic.
The SIT-conferred degree programmes (with the exception of the Hospitality Business
degree programme) are offered at SIT@Dover, which also houses administrative offices
and student-related facilities.
