THE BEATLES’ VIDEOS AND TOP HITS COME TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME All‐New Editions of The Beatles 1 Pair Beautifully Restored Promotional Films and Videos with Brand New Stereo and Surround Audio Mixes Beatles 1+ Deluxe Edition Celebrates the Sight & Sound of The Beatles in 50 Films & Videos After The Beatles stopped touring, and because travelling around the globe to promote new releases was impossible, the band increasingly made what could be described as “mini movies”. These pioneering promotional films and videos helped to define the way we have come to watch music, not least because The Beatles approached filming with the same ease and innovative spirit they brought to the recording studio, exploring new creative possibilities with infectious delight. Showcasing the band’s filmed work to accompany their 27 No.1, U.K. and U.S. singles, The Beatles 1 is newly restored and expanded in multiple configurations for global release on November 6 by Apple Corps Ltd/UMG. The 27‐track CD/DVD and CD/Blu‐ray pairs beautifully restored videos for each song, with new stereo and 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS HD surround audio mixes. The brand new Beatles 1+ celebrates their career in over 200 minutes through 50 promotional films and videos. This includes the 27 No.1s, with the restored videos, along with a second disc of 23 videos, including alternate versions, as well as rarely seen and newly restored films and videos; all include new audio mixes in deluxe CD/2‐DVD and CD/2‐
Blu‐ray packages. The 27‐track audio CD is also being made available with new stereo mixes. A 2 LP, 180‐
gram vinyl package will follow. The result is a visual run down of The Beatles’ number one records, as well as the additional tracks on the bonus disc of Beatles 1+ that show the band in previously unseen standards of clarity and quality; many of the films and videos have never before been commercially released, in whole or in part. As the title may suggest, the album takes on a bit of an Afro‐Cuban flavor that may come as a surprise to some Gibbons fans and followers. Even before the blues‐rock/hard‐rock great’s first recordings back in 1967 with the Moving Sidewalks, his legendary pre‐ZZ Top Houston psyche‐
punk garage band, Gibbons studied Latin percussion in Manhattan with none other than its preeminent virtuoso, “Mambo King” Tito Puente, a friend of Billy’s bandleader dad. Puente taught the young Gibbons the essential Latin rhythms via conga, bongo, maracas and, most importantly, timbales. “Banging away on ‘em came back like riding on a lost bicycle,” Gibbons relates of his return to the genre by way of Perfectamundo. Perfectamundo, indeed. And while the album is in fact his first solo release, Gibbons has been quite active of late apart from his continuing endeavors with ZZ Top comrades Dusty Hill and Frank Beard—though it must be made clear that Perfectamundo is accompanied by the blessings of both. Many music critics have said that Hank Williams first gave life to Rock ‘n’ Roll over half a decade before Elvis.
Now over six decades after Hank’s untimely death, Daniel O’Donnell has revived 16 of his most popular songs in
his new album titled “The Hank Williams Songbook”.
It is a project that is close to Daniel’s heart as he has been a lifelong fan of the songs of Hank. While this album has
been a labor of love for him, selecting and recording the 16 songs is something that has been gestating for many
months.
Because he wrote and recorded so many great songs in his lifetime it was a difficult task, even for a long time fan
such as Daniel, to decide what tracks would best reflect the diversity of styles of the US star who passed away at the
age of 29 on New Year’s Day 1953, almost a decade before Daniel was born.
While Daniel has revived this selection of Hank’s songs, he has done so in his own inimitable style and being
respectful of the high lonesome sound of Hank, he makes no effort to copy that style but puts his own smooth
slant on those great songs.
The plaintive lyrics of many of Hank’s song were well accepted in Pop circles and provided million selling hits for
many in the fields of Pop and Rock over the years. He was inducted into the Country Music
Hall of Fame in 1961 and to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 as a forefather of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
All this proves that the songs of Hank Williams know no boundaries, similar to the songs recorded by Daniel, as his
albums and singles too have been hits in Pop and Country charts in many countries over the years. His phenomenal
success in the UK Pop charts, where he has had hit albums every year for the past 27 years, is just one indication
also of Daniel’s wide appeal to a cross-section of record buyers.
As Hank Williams is one of Daniel’s singing heroes, he sings a carefully selected 16 tracks from the songbook of

Library Voices is a congregation of childhood friends who grew up on a steady diet of basement shows, science fiction, and mid-west
sincerity. Their self-produced third LP, LOVISH, was once again recorded in an old funeral home. The album was mixed by Dave Plowman
and Alex Bonenfant (METZ, Crystal Castles, July Talk).
There was an extended period of time where it looked like LOVISH would never see the light of day. Months of endless touring and
exhaustion in support of Summer of Lust came to a boil late one night in the bowels of the saddest hostel in Amsterdam. The next day
hundreds of rats swarmed their van in Paris. After those highlights the tour started to go south. The band returned home, decided they
needed some space, and agreed to see other people.
(Fast forward twenty four months)
Soon after Library Voices regrouped to begin writing what would become LOVISH singer/guitarist Carl Johnson was jumped, beaten, and
left unconscious in the street in a random act of violence. The attack resulted in blood pooling on the front of his brain, a severe concussion,
an inability to smell bad odors, and a long road to recovery. For a few months it remained uncertain whether he would be able to continue
writing and performing music. Johnson contributed 7 songs to the album, although he still can’t detect foul scents. The remaining four tracks,
including the first single Oh Donna and the miserabilist anthem Sunburnt In LA, are fronted by Brennan Ross.
The band, who once printed "Pop As Fuck” t-shirts, have upped the fuzz and upped the fidelity on LOVISH. The spit and hiss of an old
Space Echo and a busted up tape machine runs throughout the guitar-centric album. The 11 song affair opens with the line “All of your
heroes, they’re all assholes/but that don’t mean you should piss on your dreams” and then continues to both French kiss and shit talk the
present for the next forty minutes or so. The band’s lyricist/multi-instrumentalist Michael Dawson jokes that he believes the government
started tapping his phone after writing a song about the Prime Minister’s daughter so this time around he sticks to the much simpler topic of
love.

LOVISH is available November 6 via Nevado Records. Library Voices will tour internationally throughout the fall of 2015 and winter of
2016. They will book nicer accommodations in Amsterdam and try to avoid concussions altogether.

This autumn Frida of ABBA will celebrate her 70th birthday. To honour this special occasion, Polar Music will release a super limited edition version of the 1982 album "SOMETHING’S GOING ON” on October 23rd 2015. The boxed set is strictly limited to 2000 copies and contains liner notes written by Frida, as well as a hand‐signed art card! The full contents includes a remastered CD version of “Something’s Going On”, a DVD featuring a “Making Of” documentary, promo videos and interviews from 1982, a signed art card, a 7” single of the song "I Know There’s Something Going On/You Know What I Mean", and a booklet with liner notes written by Frida. When first released in September 1982, “Something’s Going On” reached number one on the album charts in Sweden, went Top 5 in Norway and Belgium, as well as going Top 10 in Australia, Finland, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands. The single "I Know There’s Something Going On" has sold over 3 million copies alone since release. The album is produced by Phil Collins. Formed from top names in the Blues/Jazz/Pop/Rock worlds of
the UK and Italy, their debut, sell-out show was recorded for this
DVD and CD release. The genesis of the project is explained by
Eddie:'After revisiting electric guitar pioneers on my last studio
album I have been working up earlier acoustic blues styles giving
me some new inspiration to my song-writing. But I wanted to take
these styles on to a new sound - a big dramatic sound - which
has the dynamic extremes of rock music but works with acoustic
and natural sounding instruments. This puts a lot on the
musicianship of the players, and it took 2 years to find the right
people. Some other of my songs, old and new, were also brought
in, not strictly blues, but with the same scope for dynamic
arrangements. Working with great musicians has made the ideas
come alive in a more exciting and fulfilling way than I could have
imagined'. Retaining Nigerian-born percussionist Olalekan
Babalola (David Byrne, Damon Allbarn, Cassandra Wilson) from
the UK trials, the superb Livorno Jubilee Gospel choir were also
brought in. From the first morning of rehearsals, it was clear
something special had been born. 'Live in Tuscany' is an exciting

When The Beatles hit the top of the charts for the first time in
1964 with I Want to Hold Your Hand, do you know what single
they displaced? Why, Bobby Vinton’s There! I’ve Said It Again!
But, while the British Invasion spelled the end of chart
appearances for just about every pop crooner of Bobby’s ilk,
The Polish Prince just kept rolling along, racking up a total of 49
hits all the way through 1981, including such Top Ten smashes
as Mr. Lonely, Please Love Me Forever, and My Melody of
Love.
Bobby was also a force on the Christmas charts, first with his
1963 EP Songs of Christmas and then with his 1964 full-length
LP A Very Merry Christmas, both of which we have included in

The title of the late Jimmy Dean’s autobiography is 30 Years of
Sausage, 50 Years of Ham, but a more appropriate summation
of his life is etched on his tombstone epitaph: Here Lies One Hell
of a Man. For Jimmy Dean really did do it all Top Ten pop and
country singer, pure pork sausage purveyor, James Bond villain,
Tonight Show host, even patron saint to puppeteer Jim Henson
(Henson got his break on Jimmy s 1963-1966 TV show). But
without question one of the highlights in a life full of em was
Jimmy s 1965 holiday release, Jimmy Dean s Christmas Card.
Not only did the album hit #13 on the Christmas charts but it hit
the charts for the next two years, and spawned a hit single, Yes,
Patricia, There Is a Santa Claus, that remains one of the great
Christmas novelty tunes of all time. We re serving up a fresh

Lynn Anderson was launched into the ranks of country and pop
superstardom. The Grammy Award-winning singer s string of
No. 1 hits made her a chart fixture in the 1970s, and, indeed,
one of the most successful artists of all time. Among her most
beloved recordings is 1971 s The Christmas Album, which
arrived on Columbia Records while Lynn was still riding high
from the worldwide success of Rose Garden. In addition to her
spirited revivals of Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the RedNosed Reindeer, Jingle Bell Rock and Rockin Around the
Christmas Tree, Lynn introduced Ding-a-Ling the Christmas

Christmas Album placed high on the Billboard Christmas chart
in the year of its release, becoming a Yuletide perennial for her

tracks, all of which make their debut on CD: the mono mixes of
Ding-a-Ling the Christmas Bell, Frosty the Snowman,: and Don
t Wish Me Merry Christmas (complete with spoken word
intros/outros) that appeared on the special Christmas Seals
promotional singles Lynn recorded in 1971 and 1972 as the

The two holiday albums featured on this twofer that she
released with The Living Voices remain treasured among
Christmas music aficionados for their ornate orchestration,
innovative arrangements, and, most of all, sweeping stereo
sound. The first, 1962 s Sing Christmas Music, had actually
come out on the Living Stereo imprint in 1959 as Christmas
Surprises from The Ralph Hunter Choir; choir director Hunter
garnered two Grammy nominations that year for his album The
Wild Wild West. Among the surprises was the introduction of
orchestra of toys including the Hunter family s electric train and
transformer to Parade of the Wooden Soldiers, and an
intriguing rendition of The Indian Christmas Carol, which is
credited as being the first North American Christmas song
dating back to 1643! The second album, 1965 s The Little
Drummer Boy, featured the legendary Anita Kerr Singers and
production by Anita Kerr herself; the program varies from
recent Broadway fare ( Be a Santa from Subways Are for
Sleeping; Pine Cones and Holly Berries from Here s Love) to
warhorses like Jingle Bells and We Wish You a Merry
Christmas to modern classics like Blue Christmas and the title
tune. The Little Drummer Boy makes its first domestic CD
appearance on this Real Gone reissue, while Sing Christmas

White Apple Tree, the band, stopped touring in 2013 but
their songs kept on going. One recently going GOLD on
the Robin Schulz CD. Peach Hat X is an electronic, alt
sound with just the right amount of everything. WAT
sound has been described as eclectic, complex,
occasionally awkward and witty. Hailing from Southern
California, their sound is far from surf rock norm. Lush
ambient guitars, quirky sense and four on the floor kick,
create this unique and refreshing take a modern

KEY POINTS On 26 October 1986 Vladimir Horowitz gave his final recital in Chicago’s Orchestra Hall. This is its world‐
premiere release on CD – Deutsche Grammophon are privileged to be able to release one of his late concerts, from Chicago in 1986, where we hear him in his element, before a live audience. The programme is typical late Horowitz, starting with two Scarlatti sonatas before revisiting favourite Mozart and Scriabin. The second half brings new repertoire to the DG discography (the Schumann Arabesque and a Chopin Mazurka – 10 minutes of new Horowitz!), before ending with a Chopin Scherzo and two evergreen encores.
