The international conference on corporate governance and sustainability, endorsed by
Asian Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability and organized
Mauritius Institute of Directors in collaboration with National Committee for
Corporate Governance on 15th September 2011 at Hotel Sugar Beach resort,
Mauritius. Dr. M. Veerappa Moily, Hon. Minister for Corporate Affairs was the chief
guest along with Dr. The Hon Ahmed Rashid BEEBEEJAUN, Deputy Prime Minister &
Minister of Energy and Public Utilities, Government of Mauritius. The conference theme
was ‘Enhancing Effectiveness of Boards through Corporate Governance Best Paractices’.
The conference was a huge success and was attended by 180 delegates from 10
different countries, with the largest delegation from India. Dr. M. Veerappa Moily, also
handed over the Asian Centre Awards on Corporate Governance & Sustainability. Prof.
Mervyn King, . The Hon Ahmed Rashid BEEBEEJAUN, Deputy Prime Minister Government
of Mauritius & Mr. M.K.Chouhan delivered keynote addresses.
