Fulcrum Suspensions has joined forces with
renowned Japanese suspension company TEIN Inc.
to bring serious performance car suspension to the
Australian market.
TEIN suspension already has a strong cult following amongst Japanese
performance car enthusiasts due to its precision handling and performance.
Fulcrum Suspensions has invested in a comprehensive research and
development programme to customise TEIN’s advanced Japanese engineering
to better suit the unique demands of Australia’s driving conditions. Now Australian
drivers can experience the ultimate performance, handling, and comfort TEIN
products offer, and you can be sure the low slung good looks of TEIN suspension
is achieved in compliance with Australian legal ride height limits.
The upper mounts increase steering response, and allow for EDFC compatibility.
Using an NWB spherical bearing to replace the OEM rubber mount gives improved
tyre grip and reduces the forces that change wheel alignment. In vehicles with
front strut type suspension, an adjustable camber plate is available to correct the
camber angles in the front of the vehicle. Pillow ball upper mounts are included as
indicated in the Super Street product listings.
For better handling, increased fuel efficiency,
and extra driver enhancement
TEIN’s EDFC innovation makes it possible to adjust the dampening force
in a matter of seconds at the touch of a button from the driver’s seat.
This is accomplished by controlling stepping motors installed on each shock
absorber, which enables the driver to adapt the suspension to suit all road and
track conditions. EDFC units come with three handy memory preset buttons;
for City, Highway, and Circuit.

TEIN Basic damper’s offers a high quality coil over system at an
entry level price. Drivers will feel an increase in stability and grip,
while maintaining good ride quality on the street and freeway.
Derived from Super Street dampers, TEIN Basic dampers are
height adjustable but come without damping force adjustment
and top mounts. The shortened body gives better ride quality
and offers improved performance at lowered ride heights. The
Basic damper incorporates all of TEIN’s engineering features
of valve/piston and shaft design, with no compromise on
quality. Great styling, plus more fun to drive.

TEIN aluminium Performance Bars offer high body rigidity to bring out the
shock absorber’s full potential. Produced using select, high grade materials,
TEIN Performance Bars are a quality reinforcement part that is both lightweight
and exceptionally rigid. TEIN Performance Bars act to reduce the twist and flex
that occurs in performance driving, allowing drivers to extract the full potential
from their suspension. Features include green anodized mounting
plates, polished aluminium bar,
and EDFC compatibility.

TEIN Pillowball Tension Rods are designed to replace the OE tension rods using
pillow balls (NWB – spherical bearing). The pillowball type ends help improve
both vehicle acceleration and deceleration by limiting
the movement (deflection under load) of the lower
arms. The strength of the rod allows only for vertical
movement of lower arms, increasing the steering
response and reducing roll at corners. In addition, the
Carbon Steel tension rod allows for more precise wheel
alignment (caster angle) adjustment.
Bonnet DamperS
Giving you more space under the bonnet.
The compact and lightweight Bonnet Damper is
designed to eliminate the OEM bonnet stand. This
allows for more workspace under the bonnet as it
eliminates any obstructions. Also makes opening and
closing the bonnet quick and hassle-free. Especially
useful on vehicles equipped with large OEM steel
bonnets, and for windy situations, as more stability is
provided with the TEIN Bonnet Damper.
